As a firefighter, I loved the history of this little firehouse. The food was delicious too.

We had lunch at Marion Hose co No.1 a few weeks back while visiting Jim Thorpe, the staff was very accommodating with our dog who was a little scared of the new surroundings, after Cole settled in we ate and had a beer at the outside patio. The food was solid, waitress was very good!!

What a great little spot in Jim Thorpe with a menu to please all with reasonable prices! The cocktails were also delicious! We definitely need to get back in the spring, summer or fall when we can sit outside on their adorable patio. Even today, people enjoyed their meal outside?

The Manhattan was absolutely wonderful. The Irish stew was so so due to some season or herb that altered the taste from great to so so. Everyone else in our party loved the food. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service despite the weather and a massive crowd.

My wife and I both agreed this was our best meal during our stay in Jim Thorpe. We each started with a glass of chardonnay. My wife had the French dip, while I had the marsala melt. While I've had chicken marsala before, I haven't had it as a melty (and a little messy) sandwich. The combined taste of the chicken, garlic infused roll and cheese was a very pleasant experience. The sandwich was quite filling, even without the included chips. We took home a brownie with ice cream, also drizzled with chocolate sauce, and loved it, too. Dinner was slightly expensive (over $65 after tax and tip), but the meal was worth the money. Tiffany did a very good job taking care of us.

The food and beer were good. Cute, historical building, right in town. Dining can be inside and out. Dog friendly as well.

Nice experience checking out Marion Hose Bar. The old fire house makes for a cool atmosphere for dining. We started with the pretzels with dipping sauces. The smoked Gouda sauce was fantastic. My wife ordered the veggie burger and I had the beef Wellington sandwich. Both sandwiches were tasty. We appreciate our server Hannah who went above and beyond with excellent service!

I’m trying to find the words. We specifically chose this restaurant for a couple of reasons. One being they were opened at 11am and we were in the mood for an early lunch. We arrived at 1115. We were immediately told that they were aware the times were wrong online but that they didn’t open until 1130. Ok no problem-we waited. While we waited we heard them explain the timing being off over a dozen times (maybe just fix it online ?). Everyone working there was acting like it was the first day they were opened. A waitress literally said to me, “give us some time cuz the kitchen is still warming up”. It wasn’t just us wondering what was going on…long before 1130 there were people sitting and waiting for the restaurant to open and a line forming at the gate. We got there at 1115. We waiting until they were “opened”. Our order wasn’t taken until noon. Zach (our very friendly yet no sense of urgency waiter) said, “yeah this happens every Saturday - mad rush”. Hmmmmm…maybe it’s because Google is telling people it opens at 11am and maybe it’s because the entire staff were acting like this was day 1. It is not my problem that the servers were just getting there at 1130. It is not my problem that your bartender/“manager” didn’t have her fruit cut up and couldn’t handle the business after being opened for just 5 minutes. No customer wants to hear “the bartender got slammed” after only being opened for 5 minutes. The food was forgettable and not worth the wait. Hungry patrons be warned.

We stopped here for dinner and drinks during our stay in Jim Thorpe. My hubby ordered the MacChunker burger that he absolutely loved. I had the steak salad that was average. Cocktails were delicious. Best part was that we got to sit outside to eat on such a warm beautiful night.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of a local. We sat outside in the courtyard to enjoy the beautiful day. Our waitress was very personable. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with a side salad. It was delicious. I definitely recommend giving Marion Hose Bar a try.
