The food was absolutely incredible, specifically the homemade pasta and the steak with chimichurri. Service was knowledgeable and friendly! A must visit in Jim

Any of the bad reviews MUST be based off of either a really busy time or when the staff was having a bad day. This place by far the best place in Jim Thrope and recommend by our bed and breakfast. Maxine is also an amazing waitress.

Went back to Miya Friday night with friends for a birthday dinner. Raved about my experience to them (my husband went here in 2018). Over the years I had tried to make reservations but never got in because it was booked. This made me think it was the same great restaurant. Well I was very wrong. Food was not good. Service thou sweet was very very slow. No specials. Wine listed on line not available. Over seasoned over garlicky food It really does not taste good And it’s still. Very very expensive Never again

Moya is a gem of a restaurant here in Jim Thorpe. The menu, thankfulky, is limited and focuses on what they want to do any given week thereby allowing them to focus their energies. The short ribs are not to be missed, but I say that having had many things from their menu over the years and never once being disappointed be it seafood or meat. Seating has its limits so reservations are strongly recommended. They've recently opened up an upstairs area for drinks and some dining overflow. There is nothing bad or even mediocre here. They strive for excellence and reach it. This restaurant is *STRONGLY* recommended if you are going to visit our town!

My family and I had dinner saturday night. We had a reservation and were promptly seated. We were told about the daily special and asked for water at that time. Somebody brought the water bottle over and didnt even pour the water in our glasses. We ordered drinks, appetizers and our dinners. Food came out in a timely manner and the food was above average but for the prices i felt it should be excellent and less salty. We had to ask 3 times for additional water, ask for our check and again ask to pay. When the waitiress took our check she reminded us that the tip was already included because we were a party of 5! We were well aware the tip was included so that explained why we had poor service. I am an over tipper and left no additional tip. My expectations maybe were too high for the pricing of the menu.

When we go to Jim Thorpe, it’s a given that we will visit Moya. We made our reservation and showed up, only to find that we made it for the wrong date. No problem, despite them being busy, they setup a separate table for us. Food was excellent!

I had dinner here one evening during my two-night stay in Jim Thorpe, and it was delightful. The atmosphere and interior are lovely, and the food was thoughtful and absolutely delicious. They do the small-plates concept, and I had the steak, potatoes, and tres leches cake for dessert. It was definitely one of my favorite recent meals out. The staff were also lovely and attentive. If I lived nearby I would come regularly, but I hope to make it back to JT to eat here again sometime. Highly recommend.

My recent dining experience at this restaurant was appalling. Even though the food was good, customer service ruined the dinner. Not only did I discover hair in my food, but the server's nonchalant attitude and refusal to take responsibility were beyond belief. Instead of a genuine apology, we received an absurd excuse about it being another customer's hair, only on asking about it the second time. There was no accountability for this at the reception either. It's astounding how a place claiming to offer quality dining can stoop to such unprofessional and immature behavior towards customers.

Serious lack of attention to detail. They are close but missed the mark in multiple ways..I'll start by saying the place was very clean. Arrived early and went upstairs to their lounge area. I felt as though I was in an art gallery versus a restaurant lounge.. wall colors you would expect at a vibrant art gallery. They had a large qty of paintings available for sale hanging on all the walls. The server was friendly, and we ordered drinks. As we were significantly early, we decided to order an appetizer. The app consisted of an assortment of cheeses with a ramekin of honey and another of roasted peppers. It also came with some warm pita type of bread.Another staff member delivered it from the kitchen and just placed it on the table and left.No small knives or any other utensil to cut the cheeses or apply the honey and other supplied extras. We had to chase down a server and ask for utensils. They brought us 1 standard butter knive. She's walking away and with a perplexed expression on my face looked and said napkins??She brings 2 paper napkins..No small plates, no real utensils and no decent napkins.Moving on to dinner:Server was pleasant and we ordered 1 of their specials; the pan seared scallops. My wife ordered the rigatoni bolognese. We added an alla cart sautéed broccoli. My wife asked to sample 1 of the 3 red wines they had. She brought the standard sample but never returned to see her thoughts as to if she wanted to order that wine . We appreciate experient service, but, surprisingly, the order arrived 5 minutes after placing it. Starting with the bolognese, a large portion of the rigatoni was hard.. undercooked, maybe, too much rigatoni in the pot maybe, I don't know. The flavor of the bolognese was excellent, but you can't eat hard pasta. The scallops were luke warm at best, flavor was excellent. However, I'm not a fan of cold scallops. Odd, they were served in the same bowl as her pasta. Looked like a cereal bowl. The sautéed broccoli was seriously under done. It just tasted like a pile of garlic and undercooked broccoli. Again, it was served in the same cereal style bowl as the other dishes.Still no server, runners delivered the dishesI had to get up and find our server. Hadn't seen her since she dropped off the wine sample earlier. She arrived and I explained the situation. I told her too many things were wrong to warrant a redo. She left and came back about 5 min later and said "You may leave" Again, another nail in the coffin as to my feelings on this establishment..ONE and DONE..

Lovely gem in Jim Thorpe and a refreshing break from all of the bar fare and pubs. We got lucky and were able to grab a last minute reservation on a busy weekend. Our food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and filling. We inhaled the trout salad and our cocktails were fantastic. The potatoes were so truffle-y and yum. Only downside; I ordered a medium-rare steak and got a medium steak, which is a bummer, but was still delicious. Would recommend.

Unique dining experience made even more inviting by its location...tucked into a side street of Jim Thorpe. It's a tapas theme, small plates with big flavor.
