MYST hibachi/sushi/gastropub

We took a beautiful train ride nearby this afternoon then followed the recommendation of a neighboring shop owner for a good restaurant to The Mist. The young man with the orangey blonde hair at the check in was so rude. He told us we’d have a wait to be seated. I told him that would be fine. He reiterated there would be a wait, said 20-30 minutes. I again said it would be ok. We were just having a day of leisure and in no rush. Then he said, give me your number and I’ll call when there’s a table ready. Well, it’s seven hours later and there’s still no call. We had waited nearby and shopped but finally went elsewhere. It was obvious our table of four was not wanted in the restaurant for some reason. I’d never have someone like him work for us.

Wonderful service with polite and friendly staff as well as great food options!

I tried to dine here today and couldn’t because their enormous graffiti covered delivery truck was blocking the entire roadway. If the supplier truck looks like that, I’d be afraid to know the food quality. Too bad they can’t just get it together.

Interesting spot I like the atmosphere service was good . I feel food was 😋 tasty and big portions.

We often frequent Myst during visits to JT. They do a very good business, and as a result, are sometimes challenged to manage the volume.

Experience - the reception is always good and the atmosphere and bar is good.

Service - the service is always very good.

Food - The food is very good.

Overall, given the quality experience, the value is good.

My wife and and daughter had a sushi roll and were adequately happy with their food. Unfortunately, I was unfortunate enough to try their Thai chicken fried rice. I appreciate the server telling me what was in it. He said it was a favorite of his. So I ordered it without raisins and tomatoes!!! It was laden with a yellow curry sauce, pineapple, chicken, a smidge of eggs and zero taste! I let my family taste it and after one bite, they said gross. Do yourself a favor and don't order this! I have eaten Thai fried rice for over 30 years and have never seen raisins and tomatoes in it.

Table is a bit tight for 2 person at least the table where we sat (middle area).
Waitress (didn’t know her name) was really nice and friendly (older pretty lady).
Calamari wasn’t that bad.
Me and my husband ordered different things but from the pictures seems the same.
I had shrimp tempura, he had lobster.
And then I ordered drunken noodles to go.
When I got home and give it a try, I like the thick noodles that they used but the sauces/ seasonings I didn’t really like it much.

The food here is very good, their rolls are fresh and the pad Thai is also great. However the seating is so tight that you’re either talking quiet or the table next to you is hearing your conversation, the walls are cluttered and busy (think of Red Robin but everything’s for sale) and the menus were stained and had peeling lamination. Does this take away from the food quality? No. Did it bother me? Yes. The portions were good as well but the tables were also tiny and almost impossible to have 3 plates on. My personal recommendation would be to make an order to go.

Great experience! Wonderful service, great drinks, and the food was delicious!! Very large portion sizes. Also, super helpful to have a kids menu! We will be back!

I’ve never met a more polite and patient staff in such an incredibly busy atmosphere. The portions are excellent and the food is incredible. Highly recommend!

The crispy duck was a nice dish but it's not meant for everyone. It can be pretty fatty. The skin was crispy like a chip.

Had a spicy tuna roll that literally tasted like air . . No flavor . My daughter had a filet that was drowned in soy sauce, my husband had drunken noodles that were way to sweet ... I think my son was the only one to enjoy what he ordered which was sashimi ?‍♀️ unfortunately very mid

The service here was phenomenal. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food was really well cooked and tasty. Highly recommend Bento box 2 and the Hibachi Steak! The place is clean and well organized!
