Nomad Distilling Co - Jim Thorpe

While I was visiting Jim Thorpe I stumbled upon a local Distillery named Nomad. It’s a small place that sells several different kinds of of Spirits, and Miner’s Root Beer which is spiked. ( this spiked root beer is so good.) They sell all kinds of Merch along with nonalcoholic drinks too. Outside was a local artist playing guitar and singing.
While I was here I did tasting, 6 for $8. There was many to choose from and spiked Miner’s Root Beer which I took home. I tried their Apple Pie Shine , Sweet Tea Shine, Blueberry Shine, Lemon Shine, and Peach Shine, Blackberry Bramble Liquor.. They were all very good. My boyfriend chose for his 6 tastings Noble Bourbon, Tapped ( Maple) Whiskey, Blackberry Bramble liquor, Peach Shine, Blueberry Shine, Root Beer Shine.
The staff was great! Very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my time here. I went home with many different bottles of spirits. I chose their Blueberry Shine and a bottle of their Bourbon along with their spiked Miner’s Root Beer! The Root Beer is a must.
If in town stop by and try their tasting menu. You won’t be disappointed!

One of the best distilleries I’ve ever visited! The friendliest staff, the most amazing moonshines and whiskeys. Some absolute 10/10’s!! You just have to try it for yourselves! The root beer cocktails are even better than name brand A&W root beer. An absolute must visit!

What a great place and friendly staff. They are dog friendly and had treats and belly rubs for me. My human enjoyed the knowledgeable server and the tasting flight. We left with some root beer shine and a lot of sampling bottles. We will be back next time we are in town! @jasperthedog2022

Just left the location a minute ago and had to do a review. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by the location and get a flight. Spectacular!

Stopped in a Tuesday around 4pm while exploring the town and surprisingly we were the only ones in there. In addition to their tastings they have a lot of merch and some non alcoholic beverages. The lady bartender was very friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great tasting service. We even got to try the Miners Root Beer made from their root beer shine (it’s BETTER than Your Fathers [IYKYK])! Enjoyed everything we tasted (whiskey and shines). Left with 3 bottles and some great laughs. Def a must stop and def will be back!

Fantastic tasting. Very knowledgeable staff. We took a bottle of the maple whiskey home.

If you like root beer you HAVE to try the Miner's Root Beer. Finding a spiked root beer besides NYF is so rare, so when I say this I was excited. After tasting it I was hooked!

Stopped in with my fiancée to try some of the moonshine here, second time we have been here and the staff is very friendly. Each time we were here we purchased some of the hard lemonade, highly recommendIt’s also in a very historic and cool part of the town

Great service and attentive staff! The liquor is very tasty and the sampling is great. Get the Blackberry Brandy! To die for!The eggnog liquor is also yum.y!

I stopped in here by chance, and saw that they had a spirits tasting for pretty cheap, so I did it and they genuinely have very good products. My favorite was the blackberry bramble, I would highly recommend trying it if you go
