Ice cream that doesn’t melt?! Got the Vanilla soft serve ice cream cone that wasn’t even cold. It held its form without being frozen. Like it was made of oil and marshmallow fluff. half of it fell on the ground and stayed in the same mound in 75 degree weather. I sat the cone on the ground and it didn’t melt at all. Idk what the heck the ice cream here is made out of but it’s definitely not natural.

Terrible service terrible ice cream. I got vanilla soft serve ice cream cone. It wasn't cold?! It held its shape but it didn't taste or feel like ice cream. It was like an imitation ice cream. Half fell on the ground and it didn't melt in 75 degree weather! I've never seen anything like this before.

Ice cream so good you may find yourself questioning what the secret ingredients may be to make it so tasty. You may find yourself wondering how they deliver such exceptional customer service. You may ask yourself what flavors will they think of next...

I would like to think that my poor experience here yesterday was due to the large crowds of people with Jim Thorpe’s fall fest. Having said that, I’m fairly confident that their lack of preparedness was poor leadership by whoever runs this place. It took WAY too long to get our order. We got in line, which was long, but the entire town was crowded and it was warm so we figured why wouldn’t the ice cream line be long? It took 20 minutes to get to put in the order. Once the order was put in, it took another 30 minutes for our 2 items to be served up (an arctic freeze and a 2 dip bowl). The Dairy Queen down the street from me would have a comparable order ready within seconds. What’s worse is when our orders FINALLY came out (which we were about to ditch due to our train leaving soon), they were both melted! The arctic freeze was ice cream soup and the 2 dips were floating in what was already melted.

The entire town of Jim Thorpe just isn’t built for the amount of people that were present yesterday. All the shops were crowded, the traffic looked like a nightmare, and wait times for all restaurants were over 45 minutes. I don’t blame Wood’s for the over-saturation of people and customers, but I absolutely DO blame them for their lack in preparedness, poor systems, and inferior quality of product. My wife and I will try them again in the future when the crowds aren’t as bad, that may adjust our rating. But until then, if you’re there on a busy day, be sure to allot yourself at least an hour to the Woods experience and don’t expect to be wowed with their product.

Woods Ice Cream in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, is an absolute gem! This delightful spot offers a fantastic variety of flavored soft serve ice cream that will make any ice cream lover's day. We had root beer soft serve for the first time, and it was subtle but delicious. From classic vanilla and chocolate to unique flavors like blueberry and peanut butter, there's something to satisfy every palate. The quality of the ice cream is top-notch—creamy, rich, and incredibly flavorful. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. If you find yourself in Jim Thorpe, a visit to Woods Ice Cream is a must. Highly recommended!

The ice cream was good, but the service was terrible. It took our group of 12 people over an hour! to get simple ice cream cones. There was 2 people in line ahead of us who had the same long wait for their icecream. They definitely need more than one person working.

The two girls working when we were there forgot ours and the next person's order. Then a new person came and took away his order. The service isn't great for sure. They are just at a good location for kids, right next to historical train station.

We got soft serve ice cream, vanilla it was pretty good. Prices weren’t too too bad. The staff was extremely friendly.

Went and got vanilla, Nutella and pistachio ice cream with waffle cone. Their kid size is like a standard soft serve ice cream. Very generous in portion. The ice scream is so soft, rich and creamy. Wasn't able to take picture of the vanilla because my son was too excited to eat as soon as he saw the ice cream. Would love to try other flavors when I come back to Jim Thorpe!

I love ice cream. And I used to love Woods ice cream.I have never heard of a place that charges extra money for two dips when they’re not the same flavor. Seriously. Wow!!I’m pretty sure that it’s not something that other ice cream stores do… If you order two dips, you can get one in chocolate and one in vanilla… You don’t get charged extra money because they’re not both vanilla or chocolate. Ridiculous shame on them. I hope they change that rule.

Delicious soft ice cream, even it was only one employee serving very hungry crowd, she did the best to please everyone fast .

I had maple walnut with rainbow sprinkles in a cup. The ice cream was good but nothing overly special, like you would get at any basic ice cream shop.
