“Best food in johnstown. The head chef/owner is such a great guy. It's a small restaurant, mainly take out with outdoor seating in nice weather. Don't let the "hole in the wall" look of the small building fool you. The place is like Pringles, "once you pop, you can't stop!"“
“Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! I live in Atlanta and it can be hard to find a great Jamaican restaurant in my town of 9 million. But, look no further Johnstown residents! I could not decide between the j*** chicken and the oxtails. So, I got both! Each one was fall off the bone tender and the juices soaked up the rice.And, the collards and the cabbage are outstanding. I am not sure what the secret ingredient is in each vegetable, but they are very tasty.I will try a vegetable plate next time as I will try the other vegetables too.This is a very welcome addition to the community. I would definitely recommend Island Cuisine Restaurant.Vegetarian options: Very full of flavor!“
“Stop looking and eat here! It IS takeout only, however the food is legit. We tried about half the menu. Everything was amazing. You know a restaurant is great when even the sides like beans and rice are top notch. Zilpah was very nice and helpful on the phone. The prices were very reasonable as well. I wish we lived closer! Unless you prefer boring food you Won’t be disappointed.“
