Nice roadside tavern. Burger was decent. Homemade chili had a spicy bite to it and was delicious. Homemade on premises.

Parking: My girlfriend and I don't go out to eat much. But when we do the Barrel House is the place we choose. The pulled pork on fries, steak subs, and hamburgers are the best , we have ever found anywhere.

Didn't even get to try their food. Got there and every table was unclean. We sat at a table big enough for our family and had to push dishes to the side. Sat there for 20 mins and didn't even get acknowledged. We were debating what to do, then they cleared, seated and handed menus to a group that just got there. We got up and left.

The wait staff wasn’t to blame. They were short staffed for the weekend, some of them being there since 6AM and we were there close to 8PM. We waited two hours for our food only to be told that they didn’t have what we ordered, they were out. We had to reorder. When we finally did get the food the portion size for the shrimp scampi was something a small toddler could eat that’s how small it was. It had no flavor. It just tasted like shrimp and buttered spaghetti noodles. If you do eat there burgers and taco salad were the only edible things.
Sat for about 15 minutes before we even got menus. Got our drinks then waited almost 45 more minutes for our sub par food. I do understand being busy for lunch. But this just wasn’t great.

I write this review with absolutely zero exaggeration. When I say I could’ve driven to the nearest super market, purchased all ingredients in an unfamiliar store, purchased and set up a new grill, then cooked the meal that I ate in LESS time I mean it. We waited for OVER an hour and 10mins… for BURGERS. Maybe I’m overthinking it, maybe they butcher the cows fresh in the back for each order… but I wouldn’t know because of our rude and unhelpful waitress… the only tip she deserves is maybe a career change is necessarily. I understand having a bad day, but being legitimately RUDE and literally telling a customer “I’ll get your drink when I’m done doing what I’m doing” is crazy behavior. If you want overpriced mediocre food and have 2hrs to kill THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!!!
