Catherine's Restaurant

First time going to Catherine's. We went for Dinner With A Medium. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding and the experience was wonderful. We sat in the middle, so it did get a little loud, but that was nobody's fault...everyone was excited for the main event. Overall a great time, will definitely return.

Noone ever got back to me. Tried to do a reservation but couldn't. Not sure if they are still open. Such a bummer as my friend from out of town wanted to try this restaurant. Ended up at la Veronas which was delicious. Idk

The atmosphere is kitschy and somewhat eclectic. When they say they open at 6:00 pm, don't expect them to open 10 seconds sooner than that, regardless of how many people are standing around in the patio area waiting to get in... HINT: do a soft opening, folks.The food was great, but not worth the amount that they are charging. It's clear that they are trying to be an upscale, bougie place that caters to the hipster crowd. Some friends of ours treated us to a meal here so we didn't have to make the reservation or any of that. They bring bread and have some very odd condiment for it, but no bread plates and butter is not an option.One other drawback: BYOB and a $15 corking fee. Seems like they just do not want people to have alcohol here. HINT: get a liquor license and serve wine or do not charge a corking fee that says "We don't really want to be bothered."

This is our neighborhood restaurant and we are so lucky. Every dish is incredible, I love that it's byob, and the staff are the nicest people in the world.

Excellent food and excellent service, but the room was full on a Saturday evening, and very loud. It was difficult to have a conversation and be heard.

$15 corkage fee -- Seriously? And only cash tips for your waitstaff? The food might be very good, but nope.

Looking very forward to trying this restaurant, next time we are in Unionville, missed it on last visit. It appears to be a phenomenal place to dine, the last time I was there it was a grocery store, that was about 55 years ago maybe a little more. We lived a couple doors up the street.

Been wanting to enjoy Brunch here for years.Outside garden seating was quaint & service was friendly; however, a few improvements needed for the food.The Lemon, Blueberry, Ricotta, Buttermilk pancakes were lacking.The pancakes were the driest I've ever tasted...my guess was they didn't use the Buttermilk?....no tangy flavor? & the mint garnish was microscopic?...the other garnish was unripe strawberries that are out of season?....perhaps a new chef is in order?...thanks but will hit The Whip next time

Catherine’s is a gem! My wife and I have been there twice - the first time weeks before the pandemic, and the second time during July 4th weekend of 2023. Everything about the place is exceptional - the atmosphere, the appetizers, the entrees, the dessert, the service, and the hospitality. You must try the mushroom soup! I had the filet mignon cooked to perfection and my wife enjoyed the braised ribs. Both were out of this world! Marybeth is a gracious host and her husband is quite the chef! And make sure to see the picture of her grandmother, Catherine, hanging prominently in the restaurant! This is a can’t miss restaurant and we look forward to visiting again and again!

I’ve been to most of the better restaurants in Chester County. Catherine’s ranks near the very top. Great staff. Great food. Great atmosphere. The scallops and the mushroom lump crab soup apps are amazing.

We had been to Catherine’s before and had a nice meal. This time they could not find our reservation. My daughter had made the reservation and they had even taken her credit card information. They did seat us but they were very unpleasant. As we were getting ready to leave they said they had found our reservation but instead of apologizing for the error they continued to be less than pleasant. The dinning room is very noisy.
