GuGu is a great BYOB that has HUGE portions and fresh fish. The bang bang shrimp are a must, and the fried rice is excellent. Our service was great and there is even a robot that delivers your food. Overall the restaurant was great and we will definitely return.

Definitely fun for the family! The food is ok, the service sometimes takes very long, but the kitty robot makes it a regular spot for us ? the kids always order plain rice anyway

Was not a great first impression. The service left something to be desired. They should ask guests if it's their first time and where they prefer to sit. If you go with kids, they'd probably like to experience the robot and sit in that section. We weren't given the option. We also weren't given utensils, chopsticks, napkins, share plates or soy sauce cups without asking. The sushi was delightful but the cooked food was not what we expected. Pictures on the menu would help.Update: My review was met with a defensive response ASSUMING I came in during a weekend rush. Setting a table with utensils and napkins is restaurant 101, I shouldn't have to ASK for anything. What should have been asked is "have you guys been here before?" which would have helped your staff provide a better first impression. Don't worry, we won't be back!

This place was so much fun! We loved the cat robot that brought our food to our table- so unique! The service was amazing as was the sushi. The were very knowledgeable about food allergies, offered gluten-free sushi rolls and even had gluten-free soy sauce which a lot of sushi restaurants don't have. We expected more from a place with a 4.6 rating. We felt that the food was heavily Americanized and not really authentic Asian style. I had the Orange Chicken dish and it was advertised as being somewhat hot and spicy. It was not spicy at all; very mild. The flavor of the coating was excellent, but Orange Chicken is supposed to be on the spicy and hot side. My wife had the Foxy Lady Japanese Roll and again it was just mild in flavor and not very complex in taste. Much better rolls down the street at Wasabi 3 that we had a few weeks ago. One more downer was the Hot and Sour Soap. It did have good contents but the base was very watery and not spicy at all. Hot and sour soups you get in Philly are much thicker and more rich in taste; with some kick to it as well. Service was excellent although felt a bit hurried at times. The tables and room was excellent as well. And the food delivering robot was a treat to watch!!
I went for Duck Ramen and was disappointed.. the amount of bones in my duck was crazy..NO RIB BONES please..it was also too charred..which made my soup taste scroched..the bowl was entirely too small.. not enough broth.. also..it was missing some of the ingredients listed on the menu..like mushroom..sprouts.. if Ramen isn't your strong suit..take it off the menu..I've never had a well done fried egg on my Ramen..that was a miss..I'm sure the sushi is good tho..

Honestly the BEST food we've had eating out in a while! The steak was beyond delicious and the sushi was amazing! Service was fast, in part thanks to the help of the robot that brings food out but, it gave our server time to make everything perfect for everyone! I'd give 10 stars if I could! It's a BYOB.
