Was served beyond spoiled rotten chicken on our nachos. We tasted it and it tasted absolutely disgusting and was a mushy texture. My friends all thought it was crab meat at first because it came out reaking like fish. We asked our wator if it was chicken and he confirmed it was, because there are crab nachos on menu. I told him something was wrong with it and he just walked away. Had to call him back to tell him we would not be eating it, explained that there was something seriously off about the chicken. The taste remained in our mouth and the smell stuck to our fingers. No one looked into it, or offered an apology. Aside from this instance, all the food was sub par. Have had problems with incorrect meals there before. Will not be returning.

A place is remembered for its people and the experience not by a sign on the door. May you be fortunate enough to experience that which I have with your friends and family…

Fantastic experience. Bartenders and staff and both friendly and attentive. Geoff was behind the bar and made sure I had a great time. I’ll definitely be back.

The server was inattentive, seemed like we were a nuisance by asking her for more water, and kept disappearing for long periods of time. The appetizers took over 30 min to arrive, we quickly put in our food order before she disappeared again, and one of our apps was not delivered. She had not put the order in. We then ate apps that had turned stale from clearly sitting under a heat lamp too long. The empty dishes piled up on the table with our waitress nowhere to be found. Food came, my steak salad was inedible. The steak was ice cold, like it had been refrigerated instead of cooked for my salad. It was tough and hard to cut. The waitress never came back until she happened to walk by and I told her about the salad. She offered to take it away and never came back after that.We were with 2 other couple, we had to get home as we were not planning on a 2-3 hour dinner. We deciddd to leave money with our friends so we could get home. As we were leaving We then noticed the waitress next to the bar standing around doing absolutely nothing with one of the managers. We had to ask her to go to the table so they could pay. This is the 4th time I’ve been to a Grain. I swore after the last time I’d never go back. Our friends told us to try this one in Kennett as we’d only been to the Trolley and Lewes locations which were terrible as well. We regretted it. Never again.Save your self time, money and severe disappointment in the food. Go elsewhere to the many local restaurants that actually care about your business.

We love this place. Great hand crafted cocktails, and delicious food, all at a fair price.

Oh the irony...

Love the ironic chain reaction of playing crying baby sounds.

My wife and came in for dinner about a week ago and had a great experience. Our waitress was prompt and very friendly. We both ordered the same chefs special burger and they were delicious. Like a clone of each other, my wife and I also ordered the same whiskey cocktail that was made to perfection. The bourbon was present yet not overtaken by the other ingredients resulting in a well-balanced cocktail. We will be back again

Plays obnoxious baby crying sounds over speakers to kick their customers out rather than tell them they are closing. How embarrassing and unprofessional.

Vibe was cool- active bar and great live music. Our waitress was responsive, pleasant and helpful. The menu is tavern with a twist. Food quality and flavors were mixed. The pretzel with crab was really great. Large enough to share for 4. My hubby had the mahi sandwich, which was tasty but more bread than fish. I had the goat cheese appetizer - goat cheese was good but salad with no flavor- just a bunch of wilted lettuce. My entree was the seared tuna. The tuna was tasty, but the rice and edamame were almost raw and inedible. The sauce for this dish was supposed to be a soy based sauce, and it tasted more like a really sweet, syrupy teriyaki.

server was amazing i believe her name was cameron but i may be wrong, she was great nonetheless, bar tender was super friendly, i accidentally used my vape inside and he respectfully told me not to use it inside which i appreciated, rather than the usual ‘gtfo if you use that again’ that i get from other bars / breweries in the area. but ya! all in all amazing service and amazing food as always. will be coming back. ?
