We already loved the food here, so we were not worried about that. (And this visit did not disappoint!) We requested to eat outside, and they set us up with the heaters and blankets. They also had a table set up inside just in case it became too cold. Our waitress was wonderful and the host that greeted us made sure we were comfortable when we arrived. I cannot recommend this place enough, even in a pandemic!

Relaxed atmosphere and great service and varied menu--from fancy steak meals and appetizers, to more informal sandwiches. Nice patio outside with heaters to comfortably eat outside and people watch. Very much enjoyed!

My favorite place to go and. Meet frienfd

We ate outside, at a small table, which was nice. The outside dining is very near a busy main street, so it can be loud at times, but certainly not so much that we wouldn't visit again. My burger and fries were delicious, my wife enjoyed her shrimp. The fries are fresh cut, and we tasty.

I am almost reluctant to talk about this place. I don't want the word to get out on how awesome it is. Wow is what I kept saying. The grilled seafood anti-pasta was great But my go to dish would forever be the Steak Chesapeake. It's was amazing I can not wait to go back. All with a great drink and wine list. Worth every bite and penny.

Great food and service. More upscale so a little pricey but delicious. Nice owner and staff.

Just back from the pandemic lockdown, the Kennett Square Inn is open and operating as an outside dining experience only for now. It works well as summer is here! The menu is complete with appetizer, salad and main dishes that are enough to choose from. Full menu items will be available soon as restrictions are further lifted and indoor seating is available. Our food choice for apps were cream of mushroom soup and Shrimp La Jon. Soup was fabulous and the Shrimp were cooked and wrapped excellently. Both flavorful and worth a try here. For the main plate, the Shrimp and Scallop St. Stephen salad and a Pulled Pork sandwich followed. The garlic wine sauce paired very well with the salad. The pulled pork was covered with just enough barbecue and coleslaw and tasted excellent as paired with Yard's Brewing Co's IPA. All in all, an excellent stop and a most friendly and welcoming staff!!! Hit it now if you can folks, it's my prediction that this place will be getting crowded soon enough. ?#kennettsquareinn [email protected]

Seriously some of the best mushroom soup that I have ever had in my life. The stuff that dreams are made of. The restaurant has an old elegant and comforting feel to it and I love it. A must stop when in town.

We were very disappointed with the food All five of us. The lobster “bisque” was more like Manhattan clam chowder and if lucky you could find a few tiny pieces of lobster and it was WAY to salty. The salads were so-so, the onion rings were great, the fried oysters too much batter and they were skimpy with the rolls. No wonder the dining room was almost empty.!!!

Excellent, friendly staff plus a great menu. Will definitely be eating here again. Also forgot to mention how fantastic the tomato crab bisque was! Got some great recommendations for on-tap brews as well.
