The hostess was fantastic, the mushroom soup was delicious and would have carried the food score to 3 stars if not for how egregious the steak was. Lets work to that, with 4 waitstaff and 5 tables you would expect excellent attentive service and yet the only individual working seemed to be the hostess whom, through no fault of her own, had ample time to tend to refills for the table. Considering the service it is understandable why the place next door has siphoned any would be repeat customers. But the steak was under cooked, unrested, and felt as if it belonged in a Dennis which seemingly is where the kitchen staff should be. When you charge fine dining prices the bear minimum is that service is great and the line cooks can make a steak. This place is synonymous with disappointment

Long story long! Dated a graduate of CIA (Culinary Institute of America, in NY.) Said person worked under George Perrier @ Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia. ONE thing she SWORE by, that Portabellos considers religion, as well as she would haunt me…..
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS order Rare to well Done by COLOR!!!!!!!! NOT BY RARE, med rare etc. I’m at 8 times in a row, I ORDER PINK. Every time it has been PERFECT!!!

Had an absolutely lovely family dinner at our favorite KSQ restaurant last weekend and I haven’t stopped thinking about the firecracker shrimp since! They are excellent at accommodating for allergies as well - prepared a delicious gluten free entree for my partner. Can’t wait to come back for our annual Christmas at Longwood Gardens trip.
Dietary restrictions: Able to accommodate multiple allergies/restrictions on the same entrees.

Certainly don’t recommend this place. The mushroom risotto was an abominations
First and last time .
The server was fantastic though
A large group of us ate here for 3rd Thursday - great service and nice staff. I highly recommend!
Visited Portobellos of Kennett Square for a relaxing and delicious lunch last weekend. The food was amazing, the service was attentive and efficient and the owner could not have been nicer sharing the history and “must sees” of the town. Looking forward to visiting again on the way to Longwood Gardens.

We have been to Portobellos in Kennett Square many times and each time has been enjoyable. The food consistently tasty and service as well as atmosphere perfect. We’ve been at night and seated in the restaurant and brunch in the brighter window area. Winter is a wonderful time with the coziness of the restaurant and summer seated by the window and open air is great for people watching and the scenery. We have also had a group event in a back room which was very nice. They were able to accommodate wonky dietary restrictions without batting an eye. I figured after that they’d never have us back!
