Sam’s Sub Shop is hands down one of the best spots for a quick and delicious sub in Kennett Square! The subs are packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the bread is always the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service is quick and friendly, making it easy to grab lunch on the go. It’s definitely a local favorite, and it’s clear why. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a consistently great sub experience!

Delicious! I stumbled upon this place because I was frequently working across the street in the Kennett Library. It's a great place to pick up a quick lunch - super fresh and quality ingredients. Their sandwiches are huge, I often feel like half is enough but end up eating the whole thing because it's so good.

Reminds me of getting a hoagie when young. Italian special was made fresh and delicious. I will be back when working in Kennett.

Good little spot for a quick lunch pickup. No indoor seating available. Had a turkey, American cheese, with bacon sub. Lettuce, tomatoes and onions were nice and fresh. The bread was a wonderful melding of crispiness outside and soft inside. Coupled with a diet Stewart's root beer and a nearby park made for a great lunch. Great history to the shop. Free parking out front. The folks working here were kind and patient. Thanks for a delicious lunch that hit the spot while hiking the area. Definitely a go to place.

Parking: Limited 15 minutes out in front or metered parking.

Very good place to enjoy a delicious sandwich, clean place and fast and friendly service

Kid-friendliness: They have delicious sandwiches for children in addition to being able to buy cold meats and cheeses to take away.

On the way to Washington D.C. we stopped in Kennett Square. We came across Sam’s Sub Shop more or less by chance. Super tasty cheesesteak sandwich prepared in a cool shop and extremely friendly owners!

Our conversation in German while waiting for the cheesesteak sandwich brought up the question of where we were from and when we mentioned that we were on our honeymoon, the sandwich was even given to us. Thank you very much again for that!

Hasn't changed in the 40 years since I moved from Kennett. Best hoagies in town and same family friendly service. Don't forget it's cash only still!

Open early and makes an amazing scrapple and egg breakfast sandwich. The sandwich comes on a sub roll, which is just fantastic.

I have been coming here for years. Still the great quality as when I was younger. 10/10 the bread was phenomenal. The sandwiches are always made so well. There’s a reason they have been in business for so many years. Just a heads up Cash Only for people who have never been. I will keep coming back and when you stop in get the Italian sub with prosciutto! Great prices and fast service. Keep up the great work Sam’s!

It's not bad! I've had better, What I didn't care for Is that it was SALTY!!! First of all I didn't ask for salt, but i did ask for the Oregano, So if you don't like SALT please tell them, Non or little, I thought because ppl now days have High Blood Pressure, For the most part, they stop putting salt on food unless you tell them or they ask you. I cant drink enough water!!!!

Parking: I was able to park right out front.

Took my order quickly and food did not take long to cook up. Only ever stopped for breakfast but the bacon egg and cheese on a hoagie roll is top notch. Old school deli vibe which is definitely missing these days

I came Saturday at 1:15 pm, & Sam’s was close, even though the closing time on Google Maps is listed as 3 pm. Disappointed…
