As someone who has the palate of a child but loves a good dining atmosphere, I definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff were friendly, and our server was attentive without being overly annoying. The Artisanal Pepperoni Pizza was filling, and the Black Truffle Mac & Cheese appetizer was absolutely delicious

Seated at a cozy two-seat table by the window, the ambiance was intimate and inviting.The culinary journey truly began with the Bread Board, featuring delectable focaccia accompanied by three irresistible spreads. While the mango mimosa lacked a mango flavor The wild boar pappardelle stole the show with its meaty sauce and perfectly cooked fresh pasta. The Sovana Double Burger, though its patties appeared to be from frozen, still impressed with its flavorful profile, complemented by the indulgent raclette cheese. The accompanying fries, while tasty, could have benefited from a touch more crispiness. For dessert, the Liquid Center Butterscotch Cake provided a memorable finale, its luscious butterscotch filling mesmerizing to behold.Overall, Sovana Bistro delivered a stellar five-star experience, leaving guests eager to return. Sovana Bistro is a great venue for a small party. I was there years ago for a bridal shower and recently for a baby shower. The private room we were in was comfortable and bright even on a rainy day. Guests were seated at long tables, and food was on a buffet table.

The meal was delicious. I had pomegranate and cherry glazed duck leg: sweet and savory with a crispy skin. My wife had the wild boar bolognese. We shared the wood roasted mushrooms which were rich and savory.There was a miscommunication between the hostess and the waiter so we had a bit of a wait before we were served. The host was very apologetic and comped us very generously.The menu has a good selection of vegetarian dishes.The decor was attractive but had too many hard surfaces which made it a little noisier than I prefer.

We stopped in on a rainy Saturday early afternoon in February and sat at the bar. We only had brussel sprouts to eat and they were very good. Then menu looked fantastic and we could see the food that other people at the bar were eating and it all looked good as well. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy. Bathrooms were clean. I’d stop here again and try something else to eat if in the area again.Parking: Free flat lot

Wow, amazing from the moment we stepped foot in this place. From being greeted by the door to having impeccable service, 10/10. We had Michael as our waiter and he was helpful and very nice. We ordered drinks similar to an old fashioned and Pisco sour. Then for appetizers we had the split pea soup which was the soup of the day and a warmed goat cheese board. Everything was delish and just enough to get us to the next course. Our entrees were 10/10 as well, ordered the chicken piccata, NY strip steak special, artisanal pepperoni brick oven pizza, and a kids rigatoni with meatball. I can't express how amazing the food tasted and how lucky we are to have this gem nearby. We will be back again. Thanks Michael for great service!

We were traveling from Philadelphia back home to Clinton, MD. We stopped to have lunch at this restaurant that turned out to be a wonderful experience in all areas. The food was delicious and the staff was excellent. If you want an outstanding meal, checkout Sovana Bistro. You will never regret it.

We came here for the vegan menu! First of all- this place is adorable! Second- the service is top notch. Third- the food is great! We had the vegan grain bowl and vegan pizza and both were awesome! The manager suggested to try the vegan Caesar salad and the vegan tacos next time! We ended the meal with the peach crisp and it was perfection! We will be back!

What a great gem in Kennett. Highly recommend. There were 7 of us and the service was outstanding. We had several apps, meat board with cheeses and the crustini. All really good and plenty enough to share. I had the papardelle with wild boar... pasta was perfectly done, sauce was excellent, only wish the boar was a little more chucky. My fiance had the steak they were featuring that night. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. Drinks offerings were top notch and were nicely done. Highly recommend

We just had dinner at Sovana. The food was amazing and it was easily the best experience I had at a restaurant in years. The service was second to none! Brandon Wyatt the assistant manager was awesome!I wish they had another location in West Chester!Kid-friendliness: We had a kids there and the brought out pizza dough for them to play with and then cooked it for them. This place is amazing!

The reservation system is horrible, it did not accept codes it send to my cell three times, nor would it let me open a new account, nor accept any of four email accounts. When I called the establishment, I received a recorded message, hoping they respond. They are not the only place in the area for a group of five to have lunch.

My wife and I went to Sovana on reccomend from the folks at Phillips Mushroom Farm. We are very glad we took did! From the semi-twin ladies opening the doors for us, to the fun atmosphere, to the great food. They compt' my wife's dessert 'cause it was her birthday and made a GREAT Bloody Mary! But even better than all of that was our server, Racquel T. She was fantastic! She was very friendly, made us feel right at home, was chatty but didn't waste time, she knew the menu very well, even though she said she was relatively new. Absolutely delightful...the kind of personality that makes you want to come back. Thank you all for a wonderful time. John G.

This is one the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. First, the ambiance was great, beautifully decorated and styled. Makayla was our waitress and she was absolutely wonderful. Happy to take care of us, always smiling and made us feel special. Her description of food made me want to order the entire menu, a true pro. The drinks and food were promptly served and all was delicious. The rest of the staff couldn't be happier to accommodate us. By the way, we went there for brunch and dinner because we loved it so very much. The staff recognized us from earlier and were so grateful that we came back. This is a true gem and I'm glad we discovered it. I'll be going there again. Highly recommend!
