Midway through a 2-week camping vacation from Illinois to Ontario, we decided to eat out the night before an early travel day. My husband is a home chef and pizza connoisseur who has been perfecting his pizza for over a decade. We went to AmberDonia in Kingston for a wood-fired pizza. THIS WAS THE BEST PIZZA WE'VE EVER HAD. We chose the classic Marguerite. The spare seasoning on the crushed tomatoes enhanced them while letting their flavor shine, and the house-made mozzarella was lovely. The thin yet sturdy crust had the perfect balance of crunch and chew and excellent flavor. Wish we lived here because we would eat here every week. We also split a delicious house salad and took home 2 desserts from the gorgeous array of bakery items to enjoy on the road tomorrow.

Top notch food and service, is a little pricey but you really get quality.

I came here for the first time on a nice Saturday afternoon after seeing some pictures online. I can not overstate how impressive the selection is. The amount of love & effort put into this place is tangible. The quality of the food is extraordinary. This is very high level baking.

I tried the sfogliatelle, the eclair, and the 4" fruit tart. I could probably write an entire review for each, but I'll save everyone the time and just say that this is certainly the BEST bakery in the Kingston area, and it's not even close.

The lady there told me about all of this other stuff they do which I would not have known about otherwise so maybe it would be nice if there was some kind of literature on that in the store. (Perhaps there was and I just didn't notice!)

Absolutely love Amberdonia! I have a standing appointment that always falls around my bday in the area and it's become tradition for me and my family to go for lunch here afterwards. Love the pizza, the flavors are amazing and the baked goods taste as good as they look! It's a bit pricey but the atmosphere is adorable and the workers are so sweet- it's a treat when we go.
