The over all experience was unpleasant. They were reluctant about substituting filling for fries. Bad mouthed our cook after we put in our order, didn't feel great about the food before it even came out. The burger was good, but I wouldn't recommend their Roast beef.

My wife and I went here for an early dinner on a Wednesday night. There was one other group of four already seated. More people entered as the night wore on. The dining room is very unique and well-decorated and had a homey feeling. Very nice. The waitress and hostess were very nice, professional and pleasant.Since it was Valentine's Day, they had three specials for couples available. We chose the middle choice which was the NY Strip, crab cake, steamed broccoli, smoked baked potatoes and appetizer (Shrimp rolls 4) and dessert for $70, not including drinks.The shrimp rolls were excellent: hot, tasty and full of shrimp. The main course came out about five minutes later. My steak was not hot and had a good amount of fat and gristle but was tasty. I ordered medium, but it came out well done. My wife's steak was a lot better and cooked as she ordered. The broccoli was late coming to the table, another 5 minute wait, but it was hot but devoid of seasoning. We were served two small to medium smoked potatoes that were delicious and hot. The crab cake I was served was tasty and a good size but not hot at all. It was lukewarm at best which is a "no-no" when dealing with shellfish and seafood.We were given a choice of standard desserts and opted for the Limoncello cake. We were served one slice to share (we assumed there would be two slices since everything else was doubled.)They don't serve alcohol, which is kind of weird in a former bar that has a huge bar in the middle of the dining room, so we opted for soda and iced tea.Total was just over $80 plus a tip. There is a surcharge on credit cards, so I paid with cash. Be wary of window seats: a cold draft cold be felt throughout the meal.Verdict: food was average, and the price a bit high for the quality we were served, but the service was top notch. I have no doubt the dinner was not better as a result of the "Special Dinner " menu, which takes planning and exact execution to pull off. Taking shortcuts with food prep can be tricky in this type of setting, so I understand some of the less than perfect results. We will definitely return to try the standard fare and repost our experiences.Parking: About 30 spots available directly next to the entrance with handicapped spots next to the door.

This place is fantastic! Real fries. Best burgers we've had in a long time. HUGE portions. Fabulous staff! Highly recommended. I'm coming back in the morning for breakfast!!!

Owners are amazing and have delicious food. Their homemade BBQ sauce has gotta be the best twisted sauces I've ever had. The have a cool vintage toy collection too! Definitely would recommend!
