Great food and drink in a contemporary atmosphere just outside of Kutztown, not far from the university. The food menu is a little bit limited but it changes frequently to keep things fresh. Chairs are just metal stools but most tables are high tops anyways to stand and enjoy the meal.
first off I don't write reviews, but I felt like I had to, I was very disappointed. My daughter and I walked in at 7:20 the first thing the hostess said was we close at 8 and the kitchen is slowly cleaning up. I work in retail my daughter works in the restaurant business, we know that isn't the way you greet a patron. So we quickly ordered, our food came out in a blink of an eye, my daughter's flat bread was barely cooked and my chicken Caesar salad dressing had such a potent taste of either garlic or something it made my mouth burn. Needless to say we were out of the prior to 8 so I hope we didn't disrupt too much of their social time. Just make sure when you visit you are there prior to an hour before closing.
Took 45min for food. Chicken Cesar wrap tasted like a buffalo wrap. Sweet Thai wings were good at least. Server came by every 20min. I’d try coming and sitting at the bar
Had a coffee cream ale thats was so smooth. Also had the best perogies I've ever had!
Great food!
Friendly service. Cool laid back vibes. We started with the everything pretzel with cream cheese dip as recommended by our bartender, and could not believe how light and soft the pretzel was. This is not something we would normally order,so- pleasantly surprised. I had the hot chicken sandwich (from specials menu)- tasty!!-with side salad (upgraded from chips). Everything was so fresh! Husband had the poblano burger and fries, and said it had great flavor. We each tried 3 different beers (5 oz size) and liked all of them, but our favorites were the Oak Soaked Maple Mistress, and the one with all the spices- I can't remember the name and it's not on their menu online. Thanks Saucony Creek for a wonderful meal! And for your Harvest Host hospitality! Also, they were out of a lot of their specials, so get there early...
Stopped in for lunch after visiting Crystal Cave, and the food was really good! Delicious Cesar salad with tofu and awesome nachos with brisket. Wasn’t expecting such good food from a brewery and it really was delicious!
Nice people, nice place, they close at 9:00 p.m. which is way earlier than I thought a bar would close.
I ordered the Pub bar mac and cheese with brisket. It was subpar. It had no seasoning at all, meaning not even salt and pepper. The cheese sauce was not a sauce at all, but a very dry coating on the macaroni.
If you want the best burger, I recommend this place. They definitely have the best burger anywhere.
The beer has significantly improved over the last 8 years when I left my first review. The food is also much better. Saucony provides good value to customers and we will be back

Two Stars Because Beer is too Warm
Food and Service is great! I frequent here at least once a month but very disappointed that the beer is consistently NOT COLD. Apparently the seals on the refrigerator for the beer kegs need to be replaced. The warm beer has been an issue for at least a year. I've had to ask for ice to put in my beer which takes away from the enjoyment of it. C'mon replace the seals and serve the beer COLD - the temperature it is supposed to be. Everyone wants cold beer and it certainly would taste better if it is cold.
Saucony Creek Brewery is a hidden gem in Kutztown! Tucked away just enough to feel like a local secret, it’s the perfect spot for a laid-back afternoon or evening. The brewery has both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it great in any season. We especially love the outdoor area—there’s a playground for the kids and fun games like Connect 4, which makes it super family-friendly.
The food is fantastic—highly recommend the brisket tacos, they were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection! The menu has great variety, and the drink options don’t disappoint either. Every time we’ve been here, the service has been friendly and attentive. They also host fun events like open mic nights and live music on the weekends, which adds to the awesome atmosphere. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to!
Nice place out in the exurbs of Reading, PA. Nice entertainment. Average to good beer. Food was really good.
Always great food, beer, and servers
I don't love posting mediocre reviews, but I stopped at Saucony Creek near KU thinking it would be a good hotspot to try out. I was very disappointed with their limited menu and the price of everything was very high for a college town. The vibe and staff were off (not sure how to explain that) but enough that I had 1 drink and left. So I cannot comment on the taste or quality of the food. I cannot remember the last time I went into a restaurant for a drink and a meal and left abruptly.
