The New Inn at Lackawaxan , hosted our wedding.My husband reserved all of the rooms to house our guests for the weekend all of whom were very happy and comfortable .The owners obliged and closed the Inn for our guests to enjoy . The view is absolutely stunning and every meal that was served was excellent.The owners Chris and Barbara made sure that any requests we made were met with the highest standards so that we had our dream wedding. The staff were all amazing ,respectful and very professional. Special thanks Barbara and Chris for everything you did to make our wedding perfect. It was the craziest experience I have ever had in a restaurant. First we ordered an appetizer and she came back and said they didn't have all the ingredients for it. Next we ordered our meals, she came back to table to say they had no more ruebrns, next he ordered a chicken,sausage pasta dish. When it came it had no sausage but he ate it anyway as not to complain. Next we ordered dessert. She came back and said they had no more chocolate cake. Cant make this stuff up. Wait I'm not done. Got the bill and it was someone else's bill. When I told her she apologized and braught out our bill with the appetizer still on it. When the OWNER came around to ask how we liked everything I told him what happened (nicely) he just made excuses and never apologized. God only knows what will be on my credit card. We should have walked out without paying but we give everyone the benefit of the doubt. What a trip. If you go there check your bill carefully

Looking for a new place for dinner and the New Inn Lackawaxan did not disappoint! From friendly greeting, a 'favorite seating' outside with a view of the Roebling Bridge and down river and great food! Try the Gorgonzola steak sandwich-Yum! We'll definitely be back!

We got stuck with our car in front of the Inn and cannot get over the friendly service we received! Chris spent a lot of time helping us out while providing us with free drinks for the kids. Highly recommend a place where the owner is so kind! And the views from the outside restaurant on the Delaware River are breathtaking!

my mother worked here in the early 90s. i forget what it was called then but what a unique place. i wonder if they know that place is haunted. i still don't Believe in ghosts but the first time i saw a ghost my Mother was closing as a bartender me and my brother used to hang out in a vacant room and watch a TV with knobs. and then stare at lightning bugs. one night i heard my mother say the regular come on! Were leavin! and i came down she was still in the sink in the back and there was a dude eating in the front by the door where the tables used to be. as a kid in 1994 i was pretty brought back because he was like really dirty, and he asked me something about the train coming by as i walked off the stairs scared. i told my mom theres still a guy here and she was like no there isnt stop please just get your stuff im like MOMS THERES A GUY EATING OUT OF A BOWL OUT THERE i walked out behind her shes like HELLO!? and checked the door which she had already locked. Then immediately asked me to describe the dude as she was unlocking a standing safe in the liquor closet i was like he was wearing like the stuff the couch blanket looks like (wool) and he was really dirty. i walked back out to check again and saw my brother and jumped back hes like are we goin home? im like i think mom is going to shoot a bad guy lets go in the kitchen. my mom walked around down to the river almost to the bridge and back with a 20ga in her hands screaming then rushed us into the jeep and did like 75 mph back to fawn lake forest white as a ghost i saw ticks all over her neck and hair it was so creepy she will not talk about this to this day and got pretty religious after that. she was a little over weight at the time and she was running like an olympic sprinter towards the deck when i saw her in the dark. I wonder if that shotgun she had is still out there laying in the woods

The friendly Indian Head Canoes folks recommended I stay here after finishing up a kayaking trip a few weeks ago. I was passing through en route to upstate ny and am so glad I decided to stay for the night!
Beautiful deck to eat dinner, have a beer, watch sunset and catch all the bald eagles nesting. The price was right for a room that was cottagecore chic, no frills, and bed was comfortable. The highlight of my stay were the friendly people - staff, the locals, and the other visitors staying at the inn who I shared a beer (or 3) with downstairs at the cozy bar made for a fun and memorable part of my road trip. Hope to be back one day!

Food prices on some things were way high my girl got the caprese salad it was 3 half slices of mozzarella and 3 half slices of tomato they are charging $14 when their cost was about $2 if that menu is very small compared to what it used to be ... I got hot wings and sauce was literally frank red hot or some type of bottle sauce from store ..... will not be returning very little to pick from and some foods you are getting ripped off on big time

I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago and had a very nice time. It was a nice night and they were serving dinner on the patio, overlooking the river. We all ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Nice fresh salad, ordered a bottle of local wine that was delicious and had an all-out great experience.
We had my mothers 80th Birthday dinner that consisted of 10 guests. The staff was amazing, the service outstanding and everyone’s food was delicious ❣️

It’s a beautiful location with scenic views of the river and a nice atmosphere. That said, our service was terrible and if you have food allergies of any kind, I would avoid it all together. I ordered filet mignon and asked for no butter. When it came out it clearly was covered in butter so I asked the waitress and she told me it did not have butter on it. Since dairy makes me violently ill, when she came back again, I asked her if she could go ask the chef to be 100% sure it wasn’t covered in butter. She came back out later and admitted it did in fact have butter but that they would go fix it. She later came back out with the same exact steak that they had just scraped the butter off of (it was missing a piece) and overcooked it. Not wanting to send it back a second time, I decided to eat it and have been very sick since leaving. Thanking god I’m not anaphylactic or it could have been far more serious. ?

The service is first class. The owner came outside multiple times to ask how our food and drinks were and on top of that the staff was extremely helpful. I have been here many times and every time I am blown away with the food and drinks. Chris is a great guy and every time I visit the area I look forward to visiting. They have an awesome outdoor area for the warmer weather and a really cool inside area for pool and a ton of TVs to watch sporting events.
