Worst restaurant ever!!!! Waiters are walking like zombies and don’t even bother to seat you at the table. Our waitress came after 20 minutes to take our order for drinks and food. We’ve ordered apple juice for the kids and waited another 30 minutes for to waitress to show up at next to us table. When I asked her for kids apple juice I was told they don’t even have in the menu.
This is by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.

The food was really good, fresh with a good flavor. However, the service was not good. We waited 15-20 minutes after being seated to order drinks and food. Then, after our food came, we never saw our waitress again, even after we asked for extra sour cream. We had to ask someone else for boxes and our check. The waitress never came back to get our money, so we had to walk up to the bar. The restaurant was not even crowded.

It was gross. The food was nasty and looked old. Drinks were expired. It was the most nasty place I have ever been too. DO NOT GO HERE!

It is now a Mexican Restaurant and the food and service was excellent. Our server Angel and Chef Angel made sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend. Food tastes fresh which was important to me.

Looking to try something different? The Mexican restaurant at the main lodge in Split Rock Resort, Lake Harmony, is a must! I was truly waited on by angels tonight—my server and the chef were both named Angel, and they delivered exceptional service with a personal touch.

Chef Angel brought out my food himself, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I had the steak tacos and ceviche nachos—both were absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the service is quick, warm, and attentive.

This spot can be busy during peak season, but if you visit in the off-season, you’ll enjoy a quieter atmosphere and even more personalized service. The view of the lake in the evening is breathtaking. Definitely a hidden gem worth discovering!

Haven’t ate the food yet because it’s been an hour and 20 minutes..ok i ate the food now. My enchilada was good but the other people at my table hated the food the nachos has no cheese and the server was terrible never coming back and the beer was expired. The queso we ordered ended up being straight yellow cheese. The waitress does not speak english and my shrimp still had the poop in it

Great authentic Mexican food!! Sometimes service can take a minute but the food is worth the wait. Great view of Lake Harmony!

We loved the view, enjoyed the relaxing music, and the service was attentive.

Bonus points for the excellent salsa which came with our chips.

We had no problem with the number of tacos - three for the two of us. The steak was juicy and tender. Also had a lovely cocktail.

Very rude staff! When we entered through the main door, we waited for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged, even though the dining area was empty and only a few people were at the bar. Finally, a rude server walked by, and when we asked if this was the Lake Grill, he curtly said no, this is the Lake Tavern, and told us to go out and walk around.

We did as he said and came in through the back door, which seemed to lead to the same place. A guest informed us that the place had been renamed. Eventually, someone in charge of the resort greeted us and told us to wait, but none of the servers acknowledged us. After waiting for another 5 minutes, we left and did not return.

Horrible staff! You're better off leaving the resort and visiting Nick's Lake House, where you'll be warmly greeted, enjoy a great view, and have delicious food. Never coming back here.

Just don't. Came here on a Sunday evening on Memorial Day weekend, and the completely empty dining room should have been a clue to run. The beach below had a rocking live band going and we had a nice view of the crowd which is why the atmosphere gets 4 stars. We had to beg a server to take our food and drink order. And the only server available spoke Spanish. Thankfully my friend and I had some basic Spanish and could put an order in. My margarita took maybe 30-45 minutes and then the food took even longer. Which tasted just bad and was overpriced. We got there around 730ish and left as they were closing around 10 pm. Having been trapped in this rather wasted location of a restaurant for 1 hour longer than intended. The only saving grace being the live music downstairs.

First time visitor. We were the only ones there. We ordered tequila sunrises which were really good. Then we split the pork tacos and the steak burrito. The burrito was good but the tacos were unbelievably dry. Before we ordered we asked the waitress to clarify pricing because the menu said $8/taco. We didn’t want to spend that much on one taco so we asked it’s for only 1? She said that 4 come with the plate. So we were like ok so it’s $8 for the 4 tacos? She said yes. We ate, got the bill and it was indeed $32 for 4 dry tacos..We told her we wouldn’t have ordered it if we were aware. She made it sound like the order is 4 tacos and it’s $8. I would never ever spend that much money on one taco. Very disappointing.

Food as of October 2023 is TexMex and not what you see on Google. Food was mediocre to bad. Service was terrible and they mixed up every one of our orders for a group of 12
