After skinning dipping in the pool for several hours and getting chased around by the life guard, I found the Bistro. A shining glimmer of hope. Skinning dipping was not aloud, so I was directed to the Salmon. I bathed in artichokes until I found my way to the mashed potatoe pillows.Food was bi*ching. Waitress was nice and beautiful. A+++
We had a great time at Split Rock. There was a mix up with our reservation and the front desk manager helped us out tremendously. She was more than understanding and we greatly appreciate it. The pool and water park were great for the boys. The only issue we had was the location we stayed in was a bit outdated. The curtain would not close and the fridge had not been cleaned for awhile. We did not spend a ton of time in the room however so these were minor inconveniences. Overall...
I expected a better experience. Split Rock Lodge hallways smell damp and felt like a dungeon. Gave a creepy feeling. Indoor pool facility at the Lodge is disgusting and should be closed. Rooms were nice however. Outdoor pool filthy. Waterpark was closed with no explanation and I'm still waiting for a refund. The upstairs area in the rec, where the billiards room is located was very dingy, carpets disgusting, looks like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.
