I have to rave about the exceptional service at this place. The staff here takes hospitality to the next level with their warmth, kindness, and sharp attention to detail. Our dinner at Bistro was nothing short of amazing. The food was not only delicious but served with exceptional care. To top it off, the chef himself paid a visit to our table to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. If you're seeking a dining experience that combines fantastic food with top-notch service, this is the place to be. You won't be disappointed!

I had an okay time at the resort, but there were a few standout moments that made it memorable. First and foremost, the check-in process was impressively fast, which set a positive tone for our stay. Our room was incredibly spacious, and that's something I absolutely loved. It provided ample space to move around comfortably, making our stay more enjoyable. What really sets Split Rock apart, though, is the staff. They're incredibly personable and friendly, making me feel like I've made lifelong friends during my stay. It's that personal touch that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that I can't wait to return to. Can't wait for my next visit to Split Rock! :)

I can't say enough about the fantastic staff at this place. From start to finish, our experience was top-notch. We celebrated a wedding in a truly beautiful location, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The resort offers a plethora of activities, keeping us and our family thoroughly entertained. I genuinely cherished my wedding-vacay with my loved ones, and I'm already making plans to come back. This place is a winner, and I can't wait to return!

This was my second visit to the resort, and like anywhere, there were a few minor hiccups, but perfection is hard to come by. The staff put in their best efforts to address any issues that popped up, and I appreciate their dedication. If you're ready to be comfortable and do some walking, you'll get to explore the entire resort, which is worth it. And if you're looking for a great place to hang out, the Rock Bar is spot-on for drinks and late-night bites. Cheers to a memorable second stay!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Checking in and out was a breeze, thanks to the efficient reception staff. What stood out the most was the friendliness of all the hotel employees; they made me feel right at home. The pools were not only beautiful but also relaxing, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel's restaurants offered a delightful dining experience. It's safe to say that my stay here was an all-around pleasant experience!

Split Rock! I think this is a hidden gem! Yes, it is a older resort but the pool is fantastic, rooms are great and plenty of things to do. We went to this resort and saw the upgrades; it seems like Split Rock is working on modernizing it.

I will provide you with my honest opinion on our stay. First of all the location is great and we enjoyed all there is to do and see in the Poconos and at Lake Harmony area. The Housekeeping staff was helpful when we needed extra towels and the maintenance staff was helpful when we needed to have the gas fireplace turned on. We also saw entry of deer on the property which were nice to see and watch. Then beds were also very comfortable That is about where the satisfaction with the resort ends. The property is in major need of update and repair. We were staying at Willowbrook, Building 6, Room 6120D. All of the carpets in the hallway and especially the elevator were filthy. The carpet in the room was dated but seemed ok. All of the exterior trim framework around the deck doors is rotted through, to the point where we felt unsafe on the deck. And all of the exterior siding is covered in mold. The place needs power washed! Then there was the time when, for some unknown reason, Security came to our room when my wife was taking a nap. She said they kept pounding on the door until she woke up. When she answered (which she probably should not have done since she was in the room alone) she said they informed her that they were just checking and wanted to know when we were checking out of the room (which was 3 more days from then). She called the front desk to ask why security was sent, they had no answer and connected her to the main security office, but no one ever answered the phone at the security office. Good thing we really did not have an emergency. I must say my wife was somewhat traumatized and troubled that she answered the door because after thinking back it could have been an imposter. It was also unsettling that when we did call the main Security Office that no one answered. Speaking of security, it gets very dark in the Poconos at night especially on a rainy October night. It was when I went to the pool at the Town Center the one night when I noticed that there is only 1 light working in the entire front parking lot of the Town Center and that light was barely working as it was blinking on and off. A very dangerous and insecure parking lot at night. Maybe Security should be patrolling the lot instead of knocking on guests doors when they are sleeping! Getting now to the pool and hot tub area. The resort is old and outdated. Although nice, the pool and hot tum area could use a good facelift. There are supposed to be towels there for the guests. That is what we were charged the $25/resort fee for...towels at the pool etc. But on 2 separate occasions (2 different days) there were no towels available. When I asked the pool attendant the first time about it, he just shrugged and said there were no towels. He didn't even consider trying to check about towels. Good thing I brought one from the room. But other people (some old women and young girls) had to dry themselves off with their t-shirts or pants. I went to the front desk and informed them and they were also dismissive about the towel situation. That is when I asked for a refund of my resort fee. The front desk person took a note, my name, and room number. I thought the situation was taken care of. Then there was the 2nd time came with no towels. When checking out, I mentioned the towel situation and stated that I wanted to have a refund of the $25/day resort fee, at least for the 2 days no towels were available. The front desk clerk said she could not do that. That we needed to talk to the Timeshare representative, who happened to no be there. She gave us a number to call. When we returned home we called and it was some number in Mexico she gave us. Finally, the resort in named Split Rock, after the rock formation at the top of the little mountain behind the resort. What we asked where the trailhead is to hike up to the top, no one at the front desk seemed to know what we were talking about. How could this be? We eventually found a way up there, but the people at the front desk were not helpful in that endeavor. So with that said, I must say that the front desk

To the Split Rock Hotel Manager, For this to be my first time it was very embarrassing and I feel as though my money was wasted $168 plus waterpark money. I have a couple of complaints and would like a phone call and or email for something to be done. Please update your bedding and rooms. Mattress: you can feel the coils Bed has not been clean very dirty around the mattress Carpet old and outdated Turning the Shower on was a task maybe you should indicate to pull the thing down had to go back down to find a worker to explain it My kids waited for laser tag but there was a group there for almost an hour my kids got all of 10 minutes and I couldnt even play with them the team member said there was only two guns available Haunted hay ride no clear directions or markers outside waited almost an hour for nothing Two slides and the raft were closed so I wasted my money for the waterpark Nobody answers the front desk phones at all when you call the phone numbers No way to directly dial the front desk from the in room phone Disappointed is all I can say !! Thanks Room 5812. 10/28-10/29

I have never stayed at a more disappointing resort in my life. The website appears to be deceptive, and the reviews make me wonder whether all of the 4 or 5 stars are staged or phony. All of the 1-star and 2-star reviews are quite similar to what I've encountered here at Split Rock. We booked for 7 days, and when we arrived, there was no AC because the AC in the room had broken, so we asked for a portable AC or at the very least a fan while we waited for someone to repair the AC. Every day, we would wait for someone to send at least a fan, and nothing would happen. They have a different room, but from what I was told, it is not guaranteed to be any better. As we looked outside we noticed a lot of the windows were open due to their AC not working as properly as well. Our room temperature was roughly 85 degrees Fahrenheit every day. I had left the butter out on the counter to melt. That's how hot our room was. We spent the entire week opening our door so that we could obtain AC from the hallway. Also, everything here looks so old and dirty that we didn't want to use it; therefore, the $185 resort fee was ludicrous and unreasonable. When we ordered towels, it took them an eternity to deliver them to our room. Prior to booking this hotel, I read varied reviews and assumed it was hit or miss, hoping that Split Rock would address all of the concerns stated prior to my trip. I was mistaken. The problem was not resolved; instead, the workers at Split Rock keep justifying that they are renovating. If the resort is renovating, don't accept reservations. Split Rock's managers appear to be unconcerned about its customers, since they continue to schedule visitors despite the property's disarray, so save yourself money, time, and disappointment by booking someplace else.

If you are looking for a joke resort to stay you have found the correct resort. Every activity I did was full of dirty and/or out of date equipment. Mini golf course was outside covered in leaves and dirt. And the ball would get stuck inside almost every tube. Tennis court looked liked an abandoned court. Dirty and unkept in what looked to be an abandoned warehouse. Outside pool was also generally dirty with a fence that was falling apart and lawn chairs that were covered in filth. Billiard tables were an absolute joke. Two of the 5 table were literally broken. And the other 3 had felt that would move very easily even if you barely touched it. Making it impossible to play. Inside pool was the "cleanest" part of the resort but water was ice cold so I couldn't actually get in the water. Hot tub was actually somewhat usable if I ignored the strange dirt floating in the middle. But no pool towels to dry off. Which wouldn't have been so annoying if my room came with extra towels but my room only came with two towels. Speaking of my room there were no spoons in the room and no working telephone. The room was generally clean so.. good job? When we went bowling (which does cost extra) the first lane we were put in wouldn't return the balls so we had to be switched to a different lane. The second lane malfunctioned for some reason during one of the frames so the frame basically didn't count. At least the photos that the resort posts online are representative of what you will experience. OH WAIT. JUST KIDDING. The photos they post are very misleading. I think they took photos right after the cleaning staff cleaned the bowling alley, mini golf course, pool tables, etc. and then they never cleaned again. 2 bars of ice cream and a gallon of water cost about $16 dollars from the food court, very steep in my opinion. The indoor buffet was the ONE part of the resort that was good. Had a very nice staff with good food at least for breakfast. But that does not make up for the rest of the stay which was a joke as I mentioned earlier. Leaving was a relief. FYI many of the positive reviews here are bots
