The menu is nothing like what I found online ahead of time. My 11 yo and I were looking forward to the Marceline salad, but they actually don’t have a single vegetable on the menu. They didn’t even have celery to accompany the boneless chicken wings. All out of iced tea and fruit punch. The staff was awesome and rushing around doing their best. I don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen. It was affordable but nothing special at all. Take the kids to Friendly’s across the street instead!

Honestly, our expectations were low on food quality, hoping that the atmosphere would be fun enough to be a memorable experience for the kids. Surprisingly, the food was good! However, the menu choices for adults were severely lacking. We ended up eating appetizers because the only dinner choices were burgers (2 of them). The atmosphere was just enough to keep my kids on good behavior but, it was simple. A cafeteria style "restaurant" with bright colors and a few TVs. I'm glad that we lucked into a character meet and greet with Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls. The service was perfect! Not too over the top, and not bad. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It made me want to consider staying a night or two in the future. Since the restaurant is in the Cartoon Network hotel, we did partake in the play area and arcade. There wasn't a lot to do, but as it wasn't crowded the kids had a blast. For reference, my kids are 6 & 2 1/2.

Stayed at the hotel and went to the breakfast buffet-very disappointed. Food quality was mediocre and selection was basic. The selection was less than many hotels have as their complimentary breakfast.

My grandchildren and I stayed at the Cartoon Network Hotel (should be motel) August, 2023. My grandkids loved the idea of staying here - they are young and did not notice the lack of customer service that I did. I am grateful and happy that they had a good time. However, from the minute we walked into the lobby to check in I was disappointed. The staff you have at the checkin counter need to have customer service lessons. I felt as if I was bothering them when i checked in. How dare I ask even one question. I was not told about any of the amenities as little as they were. We were given arm bands but, were not told why. No one told us about the pool times or movie times. Something that we would have liked to know. Our room was clean but, that was about the only good thing I could say about it. The bathroom was very tiny and there was no privacy curtain separating the room from the shower door kept opening soaking the entire floor. We were there for four days and not once did anyone come into our room and take the trash or leave us clean towels. I had to always take clean towels off the carts. The housekeeping staff all had attitudes like they did not want to be there and that they were doing a tremendous favor to me by giving me towels. Again, my grandkids were happy with the stay. For the amount of money that I spent I was very disappointed and would not recommend our hotel to anyone. I hope that your staff are given the opportunity to redeem themselves and perhaps management should invest in providing in-services to staff on the proper way to treat customers.
The pictures are misleading. As far as motels go, this one is family friendly and nicely themed. Passing this motel off as a hotel is where I have a problem. You will pay hotel prices for a motel experience. The walls as so thin that I heard the neighbors' conversation as if they were in the room with us. The rooms are accessed from the out side with a picture picture window, just like every econo lodge and cheap motel that you see. The pools are decent and they have some nice kid friendly amenites, but again, nice for a motel, but lacking as a "hotel". I don't see myself ever going back there again and would recommend the actual hotel that is directly across the street.
Honestly, if I could give it negative stars, I would everything is overpriced, took insanely too long, considering no one else is there the servers don’t check in on you take forever to come to your table, drop your food and bring your check almost immediately. Literally eat anywhere else. The kids pizza wasn’t even cooked through and my $16 burger was a pathetic excuse for food.

40 minute wait but only 4 tables were filled the whole night. Definitely short staffed. Typical limited menu and high prices for a "hotel" restaurant. My food was okay. But two of our four plates were bad. Also it was FREEZING in there. Please just go to one of the many surrounding restaurants nearby.
The rooms (except for 4 suites) are motel style. Unfortunately, the room facilities are remodeled but not necessarily structurally updated. The rooms are small, hot and humid despite the AC. The shower area is dirty (think dark mildew around caulk lines). There was also a very visible stain on our duvet which I noticed the morning of check out. Gross. It is a shame the rooms are in bad shape because the pool area and main building have nice amenities. The indoor pool is small but the outdoor pool and splash areas are nice. Don't bother paying for cabanas. They don't give any information on what hotel events for example they were playing an outdoor movie no idea what time or what movie. The free breakfast buffet was a nice surprise but is not advertised. This is a cashless facility so we couldn't leave tips for the individuals at breakfast because there was no where to get cash or change. Walking distance to Dutch Wonderland is nice. The condensation from the AC units forms lovely puddles and leaking streams from the second floor. My kids, both under 6, loved the hotel. They loved the theming and enjoyed having a TV in their bunks lol. We still stay here again but just for one night and no more. The check-in process was a nightmare. The line was a least 12 people deep around 4pm. Our room was not ready when we arrived earlier in the day. The arcade only has about 3 rides everything else is those money stealing grab things. Overpriced, musty, there are nice places to stay in the area. Poor communication about hotel events, restaurant times or menus. Caveat: This hotel opened in January 2020, yes two months before COVID-19, I feel like greatly affected the hotels financial stability and long term success and investment. The fact that the Cartoon Network has been struggling due to streaming hasn't helped.
This is not a hotel. It is a motel. There were dirty towels still hanging on the bathroom door when we entered the room. There was hair on the bed which leads me to believe bedsheets were never changed. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Room was never cleaned during our stay. The AC is very close to the bed. The Bed was not comfortable. I would not stay here again although my daughters liked the bunk beds and the fact that they each had their own TV in their bunk. We didn’t try the on-site restaurants since I had previously read many negative reviews. We didn’t have a problem finding towels by the pool and even took extra since our towels were not replaced in our room and some that were “clean” were stained and we couldn’t use them. The location is within walking distance of Dutch Wonderland and many restaurants nearby.

This was the highlight of my kids vacation. They overbooked us, but upgraded us to a beautiful suite. Lots of space and 5 TV's. Fridge and microwave in the room. Beds were very comfortable. Arcade and pool were excellent. Negative would be the hours for the restaurant and coffee/bar area. We ended up ordering food by door dash. My kids are already talking about going back.
Check in was smooth and easy, no problems there the young lady that checked me in was awesome I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but we checked in at 6pm on Tuesday 7/25. You were awesome!!! Friendly and courteous!! Stay in customer service girly!! Not too many like you!!! You have a gem with her!!! Now to the rooms, when we opened the door we had bugs in our room, no biggie I understand with the doors being open and shut constantly as it is a motel. The bathtub was disgusting, it did not drain properly. But whatever, no need to complain we were only staying a couple nights. But maintenance in the hotel is needed. As far as cleanliness the room was cleaned well/ but you have some maintenance issues that need tending too. The pool area, outside is very nice. The splash pad is cute. The slide and other outdoor pool are nice as well no complaints there! The indoor pool, the lifeguard on duty was TERRIBLE!! I will leave that at that! Do better young lady!! The hotel has a Cartoon Network store inside the lobby/ went there to purchase some things to take home, was not able to check out as they were having computer issues! But once again the gentleman working behind the counter was friendly and apologize to us multiple times. Not his fault we completely understand! Overall I can say that the staff is great! The property itself needs some attention.
It’s a joke. They purposely hide the right side of the place so you can’t see it’s really a run down redone motel with multi color doors. Think these one star reviews aren’t real? Think again. What a joke 200 bucks a night? Try 80 dollars for this kind of dump. It’s awful. No room service. Pools looks ghetto run down. They have a. Bunch of wokes running it acting like it’s the Taj Mahal. Bathrooms are like a closet showers broke. Holy cow we could t wait to leave
So this was our second year coming here. We came last year and the service was so much better. Granted it’s a motel, not a hotel, so they def need to change that. I honestly don’t know what happened in a year. We recommended the place to two families and honestly I was embarrassed that I did so. Last year we ate twice in their restaurant this year it was gross. They changed it into a buffet for breakfast and there was NO FOOD. our shoes were sticking to the floor from how sticky it was. The cafe was short staffed waiting 20 mins for two drinks. The rooms smelled so musty and gross. We had to put our AC very cold to get the smell out. We found food under the bed that was old. The whole place needs to be changed and run the right way by people with experience. Only reason why I go there is for the entertainment for my kids otherwise the place needs a big change.
Worst vacation ever. Very disappointed! manger Alex and front staff are no help! I told them I had dirty sheets at check in and nothing was ever done! Looked like cheese on one! (I have pictures of the dirty sheet etc..)He could have sent someone to put clean sheets on but didn’t) there was no toilet paper in the bathroom.( I had to run to Walmart to get some for the kids/family), they came the next day with toilet paper and towels I requested -_- But still didn’t have anyone make up my beds with clean sheets! Then I asked the front desk what do we do with the trash! They told me they don’t have people pick up trash/clean the room in the mornings daily. $200.00 a night Very disappointing that we had 3 days of nasty sheets. Unhelpful manger! Cleaning people are terrible (bathroom are nasty and moldy.sheets are dirty! The only thing that was nice was the pool, pool was amazing . Lifeguards we’re really nice (but need a little more training) BTW if your family an early bird you have to go out for breakfast the cafe not opened! (My Family rented multiple rooms all were the same experience) -sinks flooding -moldy bathrooms -dirty sheets (we checked in Tuesday and Thursday night they gave us sheets for us to put new sheets on the bed) -_- -unhelpful manger -safe missing in rooms -flys in the room -don’t forget the staff talking about us, and didn’t know we were the Karen’s, that’s what they referred us too, really unprofessional. I asked to speak to a corporate manager and I left a message with abby. I still as of rite now no one called me back. I’m really upset with everything! But mostly upset with the customer service & nasty room. Why didn’t they have house keeping come the first day I complained? Then they just drop off new sheets? (Was I suppose to do their job?) when we expressed my concerns, I was NOT offered a different room. We didn’t receive anything for the inconvenience. This place was suppose to be for kids, think again before booking
