Very convenient while staying at the hotel, but the service is pretty poor and the staff clearly didn’t take pride in their work. We were first here when they opened around 5pm with my wife and three kids aged 2, 5, and 7.

The table was dirty and our server kept forgetting to come back to clean it. They didn’t bring placemats to color for the kids and though our server said she’d bring it out, after 10min I just went to the front and got them. The person at the front wasn’t terribly friendly about it. The place was empty so unclear why the service was so slow and our server so forgetful. Server forgot to bring my wife and my waters and also gave my daughter the wrong dish and forgot the ketchup and overall was just slow to get us everything. She was nice enough, just terribly interested in doing well at her job or maybe bad training.

There are TVs in a few of the themed booths, but the show wasn’t put on full screen and still had the menu options up. Another example of the staff and restaurant not appearing to care.

Anyway, the food was good enough and the atmosphere is clearly geared towards kids and right outside of the restaurant is an area for the kids to play which is very nice.

Should have read the reviews before we came. Took 30 minutes for anyone to take our order. Over an hour for food.. just chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese and only a couple tables on a Sunday night. Waitress was not friendly or seemed to care about the wait. Food not great. Would not recommend- which is unfortunate could be a good place with kids with the theme

I had lower than average expectations for this place. However, the burger was good, the kids chicken tenders were ok (kids liked them), the steak tasted better than it looked (but it looked pretty sad for a 21 dollar steak), and the waitress was nice. My real grip is that it took over an hour to get our food and then it came out piece meal; they were not even busy. The kids were frustrated and hungry as 8:30 rolled around. When I complained at the front desk they told me there was nothing they could do about it. This place has potential if it were run like a real restaurant but it is under staffed; from what I could tell they did not even have anyone cleaning up tables (each table was sat at only once and left till they closed). Anyway, I suggest ordering a pizza from else where and just eating it at the cafe where they make coffee.

The people in the cafe making coffee were very nice. The cappuccinos were good. The restaurant looked kind of iffy. I did hear people complain about the fruit, the service and when they complained to the manager he didn't seem to care. However we love the cartoon Network. Hotel have been here three times and are coming back next year so can't say enough nice things about the hotel

The menu is basically non existent. The service was terrible and it was not busy AT ALL when we went, so no excuse. The adults in our group ordered take out for pickup on our way back to our hotel because there was literally nothing on the “adult” menu besides a burger and desserts. Even the kids’ food wasn’t great. Fries were lukewarm and the chicken tenders were not great quality. We expected a fun and kid-friendly experience and it wasn’t that AT ALL.

The menu is nothing like what I found online ahead of time. My 11 yo and I were looking forward to the Marceline salad, but they actually don’t have a single vegetable on the menu. They didn’t even have celery to accompany the boneless chicken wings. All out of iced tea and fruit punch. The staff was awesome and rushing around doing their best. I don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen. It was affordable but nothing special at all. Take the kids to Friendly’s across the street instead!

Honestly, our expectations were low on food quality, hoping that the atmosphere would be fun enough to be a memorable experience for the kids. Surprisingly, the food was good! However, the menu choices for adults were severely lacking. We ended up eating appetizers because the only dinner choices were burgers (2 of them). The atmosphere was just enough to keep my kids on good behavior but, it was simple. A cafeteria style "restaurant" with bright colors and a few TVs. I'm glad that we lucked into a character meet and greet with Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls. The service was perfect! Not too over the top, and not bad. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It made me want to consider staying a night or two in the future. Since the restaurant is in the Cartoon Network hotel, we did partake in the play area and arcade. There wasn't a lot to do, but as it wasn't crowded the kids had a blast. For reference, my kids are 6 & 2 1/2.

Stayed at the hotel and went to the breakfast buffet-very disappointed. Food quality was mediocre and selection was basic. The selection was less than many hotels have as their complimentary breakfast.

My grandchildren and I stayed at the Cartoon Network Hotel (should be motel) August, 2023. My grandkids loved the idea of staying here - they are young and did not notice the lack of customer service that I did. I am grateful and happy that they had a good time. However, from the minute we walked into the lobby to check in I was disappointed. The staff you have at the checkin counter need to have customer service lessons. I felt as if I was bothering them when i checked in. How dare I ask even one question. I was not told about any of the amenities as little as they were. We were given arm bands but, were not told why. No one told us about the pool times or movie times. Something that we would have liked to know. Our room was clean but, that was about the only good thing I could say about it. The bathroom was very tiny and there was no privacy curtain separating the room from the shower door kept opening soaking the entire floor. We were there for four days and not once did anyone come into our room and take the trash or leave us clean towels. I had to always take clean towels off the carts. The housekeeping staff all had attitudes like they did not want to be there and that they were doing a tremendous favor to me by giving me towels. Again, my grandkids were happy with the stay. For the amount of money that I spent I was very disappointed and would not recommend our hotel to anyone. I hope that your staff are given the opportunity to redeem themselves and perhaps management should invest in providing in-services to staff on the proper way to treat customers.

The pictures are misleading. As far as motels go, this one is family friendly and nicely themed. Passing this motel off as a hotel is where I have a problem. You will pay hotel prices for a motel experience. The walls as so thin that I heard the neighbors' conversation as if they were in the room with us. The rooms are accessed from the out side with a picture picture window, just like every econo lodge and cheap motel that you see. The pools are decent and they have some nice kid friendly amenites, but again, nice for a motel, but lacking as a "hotel". I don't see myself ever going back there again and would recommend the actual hotel that is directly across the street.

Honestly, if I could give it negative stars, I would everything is overpriced, took insanely too long, considering no one else is there the servers don’t check in on you take forever to come to your table, drop your food and bring your check almost immediately. Literally eat anywhere else. The kids pizza wasn’t even cooked through and my $16 burger was a pathetic excuse for food.

40 minute wait but only 4 tables were filled the whole night. Definitely short staffed. Typical limited menu and high prices for a "hotel" restaurant. My food was okay. But two of our four plates were bad. Also it was FREEZING in there. Please just go to one of the many surrounding restaurants nearby.

The rooms (except for 4 suites) are motel style. Unfortunately, the room facilities are remodeled but not necessarily structurally updated. The rooms are small, hot and humid despite the AC. The shower area is dirty (think dark mildew around caulk lines). There was also a very visible stain on our duvet which I noticed the morning of check out. Gross. It is a shame the rooms are in bad shape because the pool area and main building have nice amenities. The indoor pool is small but the outdoor pool and splash areas are nice. Don't bother paying for cabanas. They don't give any information on what hotel events for example they were playing an outdoor movie no idea what time or what movie. The free breakfast buffet was a nice surprise but is not advertised. This is a cashless facility so we couldn't leave tips for the individuals at breakfast because there was no where to get cash or change. Walking distance to Dutch Wonderland is nice. The condensation from the AC units forms lovely puddles and leaking streams from the second floor. My kids, both under 6, loved the hotel. They loved the theming and enjoyed having a TV in their bunks lol. We still stay here again but just for one night and no more. The check-in process was a nightmare. The line was a least 12 people deep around 4pm. Our room was not ready when we arrived earlier in the day. The arcade only has about 3 rides everything else is those money stealing grab things. Overpriced, musty, there are nice places to stay in the area. Poor communication about hotel events, restaurant times or menus. Caveat: This hotel opened in January 2020, yes two months before COVID-19, I feel like greatly affected the hotels financial stability and long term success and investment. The fact that the Cartoon Network has been struggling due to streaming hasn't helped.

This is not a hotel. It is a motel. There were dirty towels still hanging on the bathroom door when we entered the room. There was hair on the bed which leads me to believe bedsheets were never changed. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Room was never cleaned during our stay. The AC is very close to the bed. The Bed was not comfortable. I would not stay here again although my daughters liked the bunk beds and the fact that they each had their own TV in their bunk. We didn’t try the on-site restaurants since I had previously read many negative reviews. We didn’t have a problem finding towels by the pool and even took extra since our towels were not replaced in our room and some that were “clean” were stained and we couldn’t use them. The location is within walking distance of Dutch Wonderland and many restaurants nearby.
