I’ve been eating here with my family for over 30 years and have continued the tradition with my daughter. Steve and Susan are wonderful people and the food is amazing.
Best Chinese food/restaurant in Lancaster, hands down. Highly recommend General Shrimp, and my wife had Four Seasons, which was enough to have for dinner the next night!!!

My order at dinner time of Kung Pao chicken came with white not fried rice with no option to change even with an up-charge, In order to get fried rice I was told to place an additional order for fried rice at the full entree price. Worse the Kung Pao that arrived included no green pepper, no onion, no carrots, no peas no celery etc but instead only broccoli, chicken and minimal peanuts. So they served me Kung Pao broccoli and not Kung Pao chicken which I ordered off the menu. When questioned the waiter argued I was wrong and this is how Kung Poa chicken is prepared to which I replied only here at Hong Kong Gardens, everywhere else vegetables like green pepper, carrots, celery, peas are part of the meal and not broccoli. After looking over the meal and tasting it I sent it back and asked for it to be removed from the check which they did. Oh, and the taste was horrible, like no Kung Pao Chicken I’ve eaten in many Chinese restaurants across several states over 40+ years.

The service was nice however Inordered the chicken and broccoli and it had an unpleasant taste to it.
I just returned home to Lancaster and again and enjoyed the best Chinese food ! Always perfect and fresh. Thank you for your delicious ciusine!
If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food in Lancaster city, you have to come to Hong Kong Garden. Not only is the food amazing but the service and atmosphere are both very welcoming and friendly. There are many selections to choose from and if you like fried rice or other larger plates with shrimp and pork, they have some of the best selections. They do not have any alcoholic beverages, not that I drink, but I did see a customer asking and they said no. I also enjoyed the fried crispies they provided with dipping sauce, almost like chips. Very tasty.

Nothing had flavor. If you have tastebuds don’t come here. The sesame chicken was drowned in sauce but still manged to be dry and it tasted like fish. The dumplings were undercooked and the pork inside looked kinda raw. If I never leave another review it’s because I died of food poisoning.

Beef and broccoli was more like beef with gravy that you serve over mashed potatoes with sesame oil. Yuck. Sent it back and they were happy to remove it from my bill. The prices are ridiculously high.

I have been coming to Hong Kong Gardens for over 30 years. This is hands down the best place to eat in Lancaster County. Their food is amazing, they will make your food as you request. The owners Sue and Steve know everyone by name and make you feel special. The waiters are very nice and on top of your needs. This is the cleanest Chinese restaurant I have ever been in. This is a very clean, relaxing, and enjoyable experience for lunch or dinner.

Came in and ordered cheese wontons and house fried rice and Generals chicken. Sent wontons back. Awful. Hard, chewy, terrible, like they overcooked them in oil and let them sit and then nicrowaved them to heat them up!!! Rice was tasteless. Chicken is supposed to be spicy. Not at all. Chewy. Would never go back. Use to be a favorite of mine. Not any more. Terrible food. Just terrible.

After many years, this is still my favorite place. Best food and service. The hot and sour soup here is my favorite of anywhere ever. If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out!
Kid-friendliness: My whole family often celebrates holidays here and they are so kind to the kids. My daughter loves the staff so much she gives them hugs! ? Also the kids menu is good, but my kids recommend the egg rolls, lo mein, and shrimp.
Wheelchair accessibility: The whole shopping plaza is wheelchair accessible.
