My grandmother worked at their little plant on Lafayette street in lancaster around the late 80s early 90s. We lived 2 houses away and would go to the business. The owner would answer and ask "who is the best?" All us kids would scream "Miesse's is the best!" And they would give us free candy. Lol I miss those times!

The chocolate and confections were exceptional and service was wonderful. My favorite... dark sea salted caramels. My son's favorite was a peanut butter mousse. His girlfriend loved the buttercream.My husband's fav were the peanut butter cups in dark chocolate.

Was very disappointed recently when we visited Hoping for PSU ice cream! Website said hours were until 7:00 pm. We arrived at 6:35 pm only to find doors locked and "closed" on the door!! IF hours are 'flexible' that should be noted!! We don't go into downtown Lancaster often, and were quite disappointed with this experience! We weren't happy!

When trying to use a gift certificate I previously paid for, I was told I could not use it because it would be a hardship since they are not sure their business will make it due to COVID. The manager (owner?) was rude and started her rant with "Listen to ME first!" before I even had a chance to ask about my certificate. All of this while my 6 year old watched the interaction. I hope their long standing business makes it, but I will no longer frequent this business. Kindness and appreciation for your customers goes a long way.
