Stopped in to pick up assorted boxes of chocolates for gifts. It smells deliciously of choclate when you enter. Nice young man working the counter. I tried the sea salt caramel while waiting and it was excellent. They also have a great espresso dark chocolate bar. Prices are more than fair for the quality.
The shop has a vintage feel and some lovely old things & photos to look at while you wait. Note: The photos here are from their old location on Water St. There is no ice cream at this location that I saw.

I have been a customer for many years and was never disappointed until these new owners took over. They never have anything in the store, just tried to purchase a bunny for Easter and the girl working the counter couldn’t figure out the cost tried to reach the owner by phone no answer. A customer walked out while I was trying to get my order. I have tried to order online and nothing is available. If this is how they’re going to run their business, they won’t be in business for long. Harsh

Central Market Flowers has an option to include a deluxe box of candies with the flowers; my mother loves them every time.She raves about the variety, rich ingredients and delicious flavors. They make extra special occasions even more meaningful.

My grandmother worked at their little plant on Lafayette street in lancaster around the late 80s early 90s. We lived 2 houses away and would go to the business. The owner would answer and ask "who is the best?" All us kids would scream "Miesse's is the best!" And they would give us free candy. Lol I miss those times!
