Great cocktails and atmosphere, would definitely come back for that. However the food was not good for the expensive price. The portions were small, and the risotto was very thin and watery without much flavor. The filet was also chewy and lacking flavor. Would not recommend for dinner, but definitely as a cocktail spot.

Avoid if you’re a practicing Christian. They publicly celebrate sin here. 👎🏼 So they are against Christianity.
As always, the Belvedere met our expectations plus some! The food was delicious. The service was wonderful. The room was quiet and we had a wonderful time. The Belvedere is absolutely our favorite restaurant in Lancaster. Thanks for all you do.
a beautiful dining room perfect service excellent food (lobster bisque a MUST) delicious martini and the jazz upstairs after dinner was divine! truly a perfect experience!
Well to be quite honest, it wasn't all that, and way over priced. The cocktails, mussels and calamari were good. I ordered the short ribs. Bad choice. It was like a piece of dry pot roast, over cooked. Wife ordered the black bass special. It was over cooked and grits were cold. Our server/waitress was rather inattentive. Long wait between courses. As other patrons came in after us, yet got their meals before us. Pretty sure 99% that we will not return. Try the First Post in York for a better dining experience and service.
Thoroughly enjoyed! I had the salmon and my husband had the braised short rib. Both outstanding. The beet salad was extraordinary! Loved the ambiance. Had dinner downstairs and then went upstairs to the bar for after dinner drinks and desert. Entertainment was great! Book early and they often fill up. We learned that the outside private pods on the balcony need at least a month two lead time to reserve.
Everything was excellent. The service, the drinks, food, and desserts were all top notch. Highly recommend. Came to celebrate our wedding and was well pleased.
I'm not sure if they got a new chef but the lobster bisque was runny and lukewarm the special bread was totally different than the other times I've ordered it. It wasn't crispy and I bit into a blob of aioli and the risotto was disgusting. They failed horribly on that dish. Overcooked rice runny soggy and so much onion and chucks of onion! Not a fan of the filet was delicious tho! I hope they fix the food because I was totally grossed out but the entire experience as was my daughter and best friend whose birthday was celebrated there. Epic fail.
We had a great Saturday evening as expected! We requested to be in the upper bar area to enjoy the jazz, and the restaurant gracefully accommodated our request. Our server Evie was excellent and very attentive. Our meal was fabulous as always. It was another great dining experience at the Belvedere.
The atmosphere and seating were beautiful — cozy, warm, and full of Christmas vibes. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer and the New Orleans BBQ oysters, and they were absolutely our favorites. The pear and beet salad was phenomenal as well. I had high hopes for the filet since it was the most expensive dish, but it didn’t have much flavor compared to everything else. Other than that, I would still recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be back

We enjoyed dinner on a busy Sunday evening. This is a small restaurant in downtown Lancaster. The setting was lovely with food and service even better. We started with mussels and they will bring you the bread to soak up the juice. My wife had the salmon and she loved it. The preparation of the side vegetables was amazing and delicious. I had the chicken piccata which was as delicious as I had hoped for. We ended with the carrot cake. It was different than you would expect, but oh my! The fried pecans added so much! When in Lancaster this is a must for a terrific dinner with excellent service!
Always a lovely time dining at this charming hotel! Delicious food and impeccable service.
Food is outstanding! Lovely setting. Don't sit upstairs if older or less mobile - no elevator and steps are steep!
Everything about the Belvedere Inn was excellent. The food, the service and the ambience. Definitely will visit again! & soon!
You are welcomed with a smile, Jamie is an excellent, professional and personable server and the food and ambiance is awesome.
