The ambience and service was the star. Danielle was a super server and was very pleasant and helpful. I loved the old feel of the building and the decor. I had a burger and the tomatoe slice was so over ripe it was bordering on spoiled. The burger was lukewarm and it was to be cooked medium well. I took my sister there for her 85th birthday. It was her first time there. I have been several times. She loved it! She had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. I had filet mignon; she had the pork schneitzel. We had a lovely bottle of Italian wine to complement our meal. There was a birthday care on our table that all the staff had signed, which was a nice touch. We shared the cream puff dessert, which was absolutely fantastic. The food was acceptable for the most part but nothing special. Pecan pie disappointing, not as described in menu. Fried ice cream not good. Fried shell soggy and only a tablespoon of ice cream.Scallops when served were hidden under a pile of mushrooms and the dish terribly salty.
