The coffee isn’t anything special and the owner is arrogant. Something is off about this place. Hate to say it but Starbucks is better overall with more options.

Such a cute little place! Service was quick and drinks were great. BLT was amazing, but the ham and cheese croissant wasn’t good, completely drenched in syrup or something.

Worst beverages ever, I gave this place multiple chances and it always disappoints me. I try to support local but cannot with these abhorrent drinks. It’s a shame since the location and atmosphere is very nice.

I just went there for the first time this morning. I wanted to try a new coffee shop. I had off today and you know just decided to take the 25 minute drive and boy am I glad I did! The latte is phenomenal and the right temperature! the vanilla bean scone with the little ghost on it, Oh my God, adorable and delicious! Not to mention the woman that helped me and made my latte was just so fun and so fresh and so sweet! I will definitely be taking the drive again. Yay!! good vibes and good coffee makes me so happy. thank you!

Counters and tables were dirty. Vibe was off. Ambience unpleasant.

When we first walked in, we were only stared at by staff. We sat down at the coffee bar (assuming we had to take our seats before being attended to). We were then told, after we already sat down, that we had to order at the POS system on the other side of the bar. OK? Why not tell us this as we walked in? But whatever. We walked back around the bar to order and pay. The machine asked for a tip. We declined to tip (I usually tip in cash after the entire experience is said and done). We sat back down on the other side of the coffee bar. The counter was STILL sticky and had crumbs. After we finished and got up to leave, a short guy with a beard told us we had to clean up our own cups and plates by placing them in a dirty tray next to the trash can. He sounded extremely annoyed with us, as if we were supposed to just magically know that this was their policy.

Look, if you’re not going to clean your tables and countertops… If you’re not going to take a customers order after they sit down, but instead have them order from the front… If you’re not going to take customers’ plates and cups away after they’re done, but instead have them do your job for you, THEN YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS ASKING FOR A TIP.

A neighborhood gem. Good food, good coffee, good vibes. Always consistent with the high quality of their service, food, and drinks - and the cafe is a great place to come study or do some work.

A bit loud, but service and coffee are top tier. I'd put this as top of the food chain for a good cup of coffee in the Lansdale area.

I ordered a house coffee today and it was not fresh, it was over heated and tasted like it was on the burner too long.

I've been a huge fan of Backyard Beans for a while now. Their locations in Ambler and Lansdale are great! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the food is delicious (The breakfast burrito is to die forand the seasonal spiced kouign amann is so so yummy). Their seasonal offerings are always unique (Love the bear hug latte in the fall and the caramel cold brew in the summer) but my go to is the honey latte and the breakfast burrito.
I love coming to the Lansdale location to read or work, but they also have some really good coffee for at home brewing. Highly recommend stopping in and supporting such a lovely local business!

Parking: Free parking can be a bit hard to come by, but street parking is fairly cheap and there are a few streets blocks away that have free parking.

Although there was a long hair in one of our drinks....nauseating! And a gentleman sleeping with his phone playing loud, obnoxious noise.... the rest of the establishment, drinks, and food were enjoyable. It was a bit pricey, but that's expected in this economy.
