Worst Experience Ever!
This place is an absolute disaster. This is the second time they’ve messed up our order, and this time was beyond unacceptable. We placed a cake order three weeks ago and even called back to change the pickup date. We spoke to the only person there who speaks English, and she confirmed everything was updated.

Today, I showed up to pick up the cake — just TWO HOURS before the party — and she casually says, “Oh, I forgot.” Are you kidding me?! This was supposed to be a big birthday cake for a special day, and they completely ruined it. On top of that, she even tried not to give us a full refund after THEIR mistake.

Now we’re stuck last minute trying to find a cake, all because of their total lack of care, organization, and responsibility. This business is unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly doesn’t care about their customers. I will never come back, and I highly recommend everyone to stay far away — unless you want your special event ruined

This review based on my take out order. Called them and placed order.
20-30 mins my food was ready.
Everything was pretty good except the gallina soup was actually separated between the broth and the chicken. The chicken was sort of skinny and rubbery for me to chew.
Price was reasonable.
Service was great.

I love the bakery. All the cakes are delicious! Will order my daughters birthday cake from here for sure!

Amazing food made fresh every day. Quality customer service and friendly staff. Pastries and cakes are also made fresh and some of the best I’ve ever had. Will always stop here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner when in the area.

This is a hidden gem in Lansdale. We came for breakfast and it was out of the world. 10 out of 10 for everything food and service. This will be our new every weekend go to!!! Huevos Rancheros, banana chocolate chip pancakes, scrapple and chicken tacos pictured below.

I ordered a cake here and I provided a picture and details and the lady said she can do it. I paid $90 for this small cake because it was customized and when I pick it up it was nothing NOTHING like I ordered. The flavor the design and she was not sorry. She didn’t care nor try to give me refund. Nor try to fix it. This is so poor customer service

Flavorful and not overly salty. Their cakes are good too and not overly sweet. The environment is nice and colorful . They also have a little shopping area next to the restaurant. Oh and good service!

Maria is very rude. As a Latina who comes in speaking Spanish you expect something different from your Latin brothers/sisters. No smile, no “thank you” once I got my order, the wait was long and she seemed miserable. I got a flan, which is mediocre, this place really isn’t something “super” good that everybody needs, it’s extremely overrated, not good AT ALL.

I suggest you giving your business to San Antonio Mexican Restaurant in Hatfield, their food is 100% better than Rio Dulce, and the owner and her family who work there are the kindest people. They always welcome you in with a smile, the wait is never long and the food is just so much better than Rio Dulce.

This place is a hidden gem. I work near by and order out here. I get the steak burrito and always end up with grabbing some kind of dessert. Half the time I get someone who doesn’t fully understand me but the food is authentic. I’ve never had a bad meal here.
