I had an amazing experience at Aunty K’s Restaurant in Philadelphia! I ordered a variety of dishes and drinks, and everything was absolutely delicious—rich, authentic flavors that truly hit the spot.
I also had the opportunity to meet the owner herself, Auntie K, and when I tell you she is not only beautiful on the outside but even more beautiful on the inside, I truly mean it. She took the time to sit with us, talk, laugh, and crack jokes. She was incredibly warm, friendly, and even surprised me with an extra bottled drink added to my order.
The environment was super clean, the hospitality was top-tier, and I would not hesitate to go back again. This is coming from someone who once owned a small restaurant and understands the effort it takes to provide this level of service.
Thumbs up, bravo, and kudos to you, Auntie Kay—keep up the amazing work!

Aunty K’s fried rice and mackerel were really good! You can taste the pepper and it was a lot of food. To my pleasant surprise it came with fried sweet plantains and a very spicy pepper sauce (use with caution). The lady at the counter was polite and i waited and watched their tv as they prepared my food.

Jalaf rice with mackerel was delicious, and the portions are HUGE. Easily two meals worth. Their hot sauce is super flavorful and packs a punch! The restaurant was clean, colorful, and all of the staff was friendly and helpful. If you’ve never tried west african food just tell Aunty K what you like and take her recommendation on what to get!

Some of the best casava leaf and Palava sauce I ever had. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant. I can’t wait to try the other dishes but try the casava leaf and palava sauce first! Amazing.
