“It was VERY last minute. My family didn't have a location to celebrate my grandmother's home going celebration. Sophusion came through BIG time. We made last minute reservations for about 25. The food was outstanding, beautiful atmosphere. The two servers were awesome. It was my first time there for brunch...VERY well worth it. Glad that we decided on this location. My grandma would be proud.”

Please don’t let the outdated atmosphere keep you from experiencing this place. The service was terrific, and the food was even better. I ordered the fish hoagie and could only eat half; there were at least four pieces of fish on it, plus a side of potato salad. The potato salad wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t bad either.

My husband had the fried shrimp platter with six shrimp, coleslaw, and fries. He said it was delicious and only struggled to finish because the portion was so generous. Overall, I’m honestly upset it took me so long to try this spot. I drive by it at least three times a week!

If you want it shorter, more casual, or more enthusiastic, I can tweak the tone in one pass.”

“At first looks the place is a little plain and empty. A few out of service drink coolers , a single rack with chips and cookies, and 2 PA skill machines (which I played while I waited for my food). But the place is very clean and you have an open view of the kitchen which I always appreciate as a customer. Prices were reasonable and the food preparation and presentation were notably good. Never judge a book by its cover. This place serves amazing breakfast and I will be back to try the lunch for sure.”

“I got the lamb over rice with salad (came with a drink too). The food was good enough. Definitely not someplace I’d go out of my way to come back to, but also not a place I’d avoid.

Gentleman who took my order did not have a good grasp on English, so he didn’t quite understand my request for modifications. But he had the food ready insanely quick (like less than two minutes). And he was patient with my hearing impairment and seemed overall sweet.

Overall, its not amazing, but its good enough if you want your halal food fix and you are nearby.”

I know you are not a steak shop, nor trying to be. HOWEVER, I would genuinely like to give constructive criticism so that I may want to start ordering from you guys more often again when my kids want pizza.
I spent $20 on a cheesesteak with extra meat and extra cheese in hopes this would guarantee me a good cheesesteak. But PLEASE, if you are going to be a pizza shop in the Philadelphia region selling cheesesteaks, MIX THE CHEESE INTO THE MEAT!!!!! Every single person to ever order a cheesesteak from you will thank you. There is not a single soul who wants giant mouthfuls of dry steak met with globs of soggy cheese at the bottom of the roll that is now falling apart because of the concentration of cheese at the bottom.
If y’all can prioritize improving your cheesesteak game, I will frequent much more and guarantee others will follow suit.

“Hmm... pleasantly surprised. I've lived in Lansdowne for 23 years and I really didn't even know it was there. The other Chinese place in Lansdowne is dirty and gross, so I'd been going to Drexel Hill for CJ Wok. Which was my plan this evening, but I was at the light on Marshall road and saw a woman cleaning the front door of Hong Kong Kitchen. Decided to order from there. The Shrimp and Snow Peas were pretty good, as was the hot and sour soup. I'm going to try this place again and order different things.... and I may be increasing this to a 5 star review.”

“I ordered Oxtail with rice and beans, and Mac and cheese for my little one. Normally I don't eat Mac and cheese but I taste it before giving my little one and the whole platter was superb, very fresh and tasty. I would definitely order there again.”

“Pearl Chinese & Japanese Cuisine location on North Lansdowne Ave has good employees that provide good food that is made with care. While I visited in April 2026, Dine in tables were just available in one room near the chefs cutting board station. The small dinning room is in this reviews pictures for customers to see. The other main dining room was blocked off. Keep up the good work on To-Go orders quick pick up times. Their location reminds me of a normal house. Especially when you walk in and straight ahead is stairs going up like a house. Good Luck in 2026 & Beyond.”
