Sooo underrated as a live jazz spot. Amazed more folks don't seem to know about it. Food isn't what you'd expect to find at a jazz/blues club and is a bit too eccentric for me.

Old school blues bar with a low key vibe.

I would have rated it better except that when I came in the owner was taking up one of the seats at the very tiny bar. Rather than getting up and offering the seat to one of the patrons, he decided to make a side remark when I sat down at the bar to order, saying "She'll have the lobster," which was clearly intending to call me some kind of gold digger since I am a younger-ish attractive woman and the friend I was meeting is a man in his 70s. So rather than offer the seat to the woman in heels or the 72 yr old man, he insulted us. I was so appalled and almost wanted to walk out, but I had bought tickets already. To the owner: I'm sorry you have such a sad life that you can't imagine someone in a different age bracket wanting to be friends with you.

I also think it's strange that it's a blues bar, but you never ever see Black musicians or patrons. Suspicious.

The food was not great, like you could tell the cooks were doing a really good job with cheap ingredients.

All the servers were excellent. Two bands played. One was just rock and a lot of covers, not blues. The second band that played, must have all been over 65 but dang they were good!

Edit to respond to owner: If it was not you, it was some manager or at least someone presenting themselves as such when they spoke to my friend before I arrived.

You are further showing you lack of professionalism with this response. I will keep checking your schedule for the opportunity to hear from musicians of differing backgrounds, ethnicities, etc but I have been following for a year and haven't seen it yet. People look to reviews to determine whether they will fit in and feel comfortable when they go to a new venue. It was perfectly reasonable and good review writing for me to point out that despite the name, there was little diversity there and not the demographic mix I was expecting when attending a "blues" bar near Philadelphia. I'm sorry it triggered you.

I've edited my rating so that your response can be included in my opinion of your dive bar. You had a four star rating because I try to be generous, but now you have a one star rating. Good job 👍

Service staff is easily overwhelmed at this lovely intimate venue. Kitchen churns it out. Go for the Asian offerings over American food (fries, steaks, etc) any and every day as the owner and kitchen operator shines at ethnic cuisine.

I had a great experience at @jameyshouseofmusic Saturday night! The Resurrection of Screamin Jay Hawkins band was there for a performance. Not only did people turn out from the local areas, we had the opportunity to perform for Jay's daughter Helen Perez! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the calm of the place. The decor is stunning, with every detail thoughtfully considered to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. What really made my visit stand out was the people. The staff were warm and friendly, making me feel right at home. And Jamey himself? Absolutely wonderful! His passion for music and dedication to his craft are evident in everything he does. And then, of course, there's the sound system. Impeccable doesn't even begin to describe it. The quality is top-notch, and Jamey's expertise shines through in every note. If you haven't been to Jamey's House of Music yet, do yourself a favor and get there ASAP. Trust me, you won't regret it. Jamey knows exactly what he's doing at the helm, and it shows in every aspect of this venue. Thanks again to everyone in attendance, Jamey and team, for a truly unforgettable experience! #JameysHouseOfMusic #MusicLover #LiveMusic #SupportLocalVenues"

Jamey's House of Music is Delco's best kept secret! What a gem of a space - intimate, amazing acoustics, and talented and engaging musicians. Sets run about 2 hours. The bar has a partnership with Conshohocken Brewery and offers a wide selection of beer as well as cocktails. The food is sensational -- check out the online menu ahead of time and then ask for recommendations from your server. We came in, new to the space, and fell in love with the entire vibe. Best of all was the service -- we were treated like family. We left having made friends with everyone and will certainly be back for a Thursday jazz session, another Friday or Saturday evening blues show, and the Sunday blues brunch. Prices are reasonable (about $75 for the ticket price plus food and alcohol) and there is plenty of nearby parking. If you love live music, jazz and blues, and intimate spaces with top noch sound, this is the place to be. Introduce yourself to Jamey too - he has a long and rich history of working in the music business.
