Found Kia's Cakes doing a search for a place that did gluten free cakes and so glad I came upon them! First off, they had more gluten free flavor options than a number of the other places I found who only seemed to do vanilla or chocolate - and that alone rocked. (You do have to contact them to ask about their gluten free menu as the gf flavors aren't listed on the site)
They did a wonderful gluten free strawberry shortcake for my girlfriend's 40th birthday party that was a major hit! Even people who don't normally eat gluten free thoroughly enjoyed the cake. The gluten free strawberry shortcake wasn't even on the gluten free menu, but they happily agreed to do one when I asked.
The staff was incredibly nice both times I went in to place and pick up the order.
I absolutely will order from them again, and next time I'm in the area and have a moment to pop in to grab something on the go I will!

I ordered a pineapple upside-down cake for Christmas. Let me say that it brought tears to my eyes because I have not tasted cake like that since my mother passed away. I was absolutely delicious! My family felt the same way and said it taste like my mother's cake. I will be ordering this cake for every holiday. I have missed it all of these years. Wonderful job Kia! Just wow! I have had the pleasure of trying cupcakes, pound cake and muffins from Kia’s Cakes and every thing was incredible!!! I would recommend this shop to anyone!!
Ever since I moved to Delaware I was delighted to have a bakery that was accomodating to my gluten and dairly allergy. I've bought cupcakes from this establishment twice for birthday parties and never had an issue. However, just recently I ordered a cake for my birthday party, that was suppose to be strawberry flavored and it was not that. The cake was, unfortunately, dry, mushy, and overly sweet. The flavor had the taste of a fig newton bar and unfortnately my guest were not fans. I called Kia's cakes to let them know and I was only given the option to have a cake that was either vegan or gluten free (not both). Due to my allergy being severe I didn't have the option to choose and was unfortunately not compensated for my current plight.

I recently visited Kia’s Cakes, hoping to snag one of their signature individual pineapple upside-down cakes, but I was just a little too late. Despite missing out on that treat, I was thoroughly impressed by both the customer service and the quality of everything else I tried! The staff was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. The butter pound cake was rich and perfectly moist—a true classic done right! I also tried the cherry cheesecake, which was creamy with just the right amount of cherry sweetness. To top it off, their hot chocolate was warm and comforting, a perfect treat on a chilly day. Highly recommend Kia’s Cakes for anyone craving delicious desserts, excellent service and a comfortable Cafe to sit and relax.

I found out about Kia’s cakes from the Lansdowne Avenue Night market where I tried the banana pudding cheese cake. It was so good I marched my tail down the street and got more. I appreciated the free sample though ? The cheese cakes are so good. I’ve had the cherry cheese cake, sweet potato, and plain. I was icy when I went Saturday night and they were sold out of the sweet potato one even more in my feelings about the pumpkin spice being sold out talk about heart ?. I love that they offer vegan options and they taste just as good. The cookies, cupcakes, and the bread pudding YES GAWD!!!!!!!!!
