This was anything but a taste of soul food. Food was horrible...who makes yams like this. The yams were old, dry and have no taste. The mac n cheese has no taste n just as light as me. Chicken no taste at all. The food cane room temp n i do not live far. Horrible

By far the best Soul Food restaurant I have dined in in months. The mango tea, fried whiting with collard greens and ⁵cheese baked mac n cheese was magnificent ?! Going back real soon!!!!

This is an excellent place to go for some really good home cooked food. Very pleasant atmosphere! Hours are Wednesday Wednesday through Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.Treat yourself to a really good home cooked meal and some great people!

Barbecue wings are my favorite, I also ordered yams, collard greens, apple cobbler, potato salad, meatloaf fried chicken breast with wingfor the family. On my second time ordering, the food is consistently good. Very personable, accommodating staff.

As I sit here in my truck while parked in the parking lot trying to finish the last few bites of this fried whiting, I am satisfied. The food hit the spot. It was pretty **** good. Although I can’t give them a 10/10, I’ll have to give the overall experience an 8.9/10. Okay, maybe a 9.1. Somewhere around there. Update the address to reflect the correct location on Google and Maps, and they’ll be at 9.5 on their way to a 10/10.In short, if you want to interact with inviting employees, good food, a vibe of an atmosphere, this is all speaking from the 20-25 minutes I spent from first walking through the door of the establishment to eating my platter in my truck, I would say this is an ideal spot for some good ol’ eating - friendly staff too!

I really enjoyed the dinner I had from Lorraine's. I had the fish platter with greens and yams. My partner had the fried chicken with the mac and yams. Everything was great and tasted fresh. My partner is a picky eater and said his food was absolutely delicious ? The Google location isn't correct on Baltimore Ave. It is now located at 24 N Lansdowne Ave. Which is in close proximity. I can't wait to go again. I have found a new soul food spot!

New Location at 24 N. Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne, PA......Found a great Soul Food place in the County, which is hard to find. First time visiting and it was a great experience. Customer Service was on point from the time I called to place my order, and when I arrived. Everyone is enjoying their meal. We will be back for sure! ?

We got them catered for a company lunch for 20 people and it was AMAZING. Delicious southern food!!!! Can’t beat the quality and the taste that this place has to offer and the owner is such a nice guy!

I really hate to do this because I like supporting black owned businesses, however, my food was utterly unacceptable. I had a feeling that once I placed my order, was told that I would get a call when it’s done, then get a call back 11 minutes later that I was going to be disappointed. I ordered a chicken wing platter with macaroni and cheese and string beans. The food was basically reheated in the microwave and tasted really old (like it was left overs from yesterday). If you’re a soul food restaurant, why isn’t your food made to order? Why didn’t I deserve freshly fried chicken and macaroni and cheese that wasn’t dried out? It’s a recession and people are struggling, so when we have the privilege to eat out and enjoy food that was cooked for us we deserve to enjoy the food. Food is expensive across the board no matter where you eat, at least make it enjoyable. I wish I would have just saved a few bucks and went to Popeyes. Overall, the food was disgusting and I feel ripped off. I won’t be returning.

This place is extremely disappointing. I ordered online at 530 ish and PAID. My wife went to pick up at 630pm (closes at 7pm per google and their website). She was met with a man locking the front door. She asked if they were closed. He said yes and they were closed for the day and I should have gotten a rejection. I have received no rejection, no refund and now food. We were hoping since the moved it would be better, but I guess not.

This place was so dissapointing. I was hoping we found a soul food place that we didnt have to leave delco for, but sadly I was mistaken. The yams tasted like they had soap in them, or like someone washed the pan they were cooked in and didnt rinse it. I tried them twice and both times had to spit them out. The macaroni and cheese was just macaroni with a tint of yellow, which is honestly what I expected. The oxtails were the most dissapointing because they were tough, and just generally not tasty. The potato salad tasted rancid and the pork chops were tough. Its sad that the food was so bad, because the folks working there were so friendly.

Good food, especially the sweet potato pie, pork chops, potato salad and ribs. Friendly service. Try to support because it is in my neighborhood and black owned. Would rate higher however, the chicken sometimes tastes reheated and the whiting does not always taste fresh. Portions for the sides are smallish while their prices are somewhat high. They are frequently closed when they should be open which causes me to go to another soul food place a little farther away, but with consistent hours, and better prices.Overall good food and service, but also inconsistent and pricey.

Good food. My second time eating here and didn’t have one complaint. Mac & cheese, cabbage, and fried wings we on point. Great customer service too :)

One of the WORSE restaurants I've I been to. Everything I had was dry. Especially the chicken and fried fish. The cornbread tasted like brick. Straight up tasted like frozen food thrown into the microwave... if you hunger for soul food, this place isn't it. I do not recommend this restaurant.

The chicken wings were so dry and hard i could barely eat it. Going to walmart and buying frozen wings and mac and cheese would’ve been much cheaper and would’ve tasted much better than this. Don’t waste your time or money coming here. If you wanna try soul food, this is not the right place. The cornbread was also dry and hard. The collards were the worst. The potato salad had a weird aftertaste. The mac and cheese is very dry, no sauce. It’s just unmelted cheese sitting on top of it. The mac and cheese had like no seasoning either. The chicken tenders and whiting were also dry and hard too. The meatloaf was worse than cafeteria food. Tasted worse than the banquet meatloaf meal. No idea how this place is 4.6 stars. This is honestly the worst food I’ve ever eaten from a restaurant. Also noticed they have a bunch of microwaves in the kitchen.
