It was VERY last minute. My family didn't have a location to celebrate my grandmother's home going celebration. Sophusion came through BIG time. We made last minute reservations for about 25. The food was outstanding, beautiful atmosphere. The two servers were awesome.
It was my first time there for brunch...VERY well worth it. Glad that we decided on this location. My grandma would be proud.

A Disappointing Brunch Experience!
I've been eager to try Sophusion for a while, as the food photos online looked fantastic. My wife and I decided to give it a shot for brunch.
While we were seated on time, our dining experience quickly took a turn. The delay in food service, especially for the kids, was quite frustrating. The main course, a steak and eggs brunch dish, was poorly executed: the steak was undercooked, and the eggs, despite our request for over-easy, arrived over-well. Our daughter's meal arrived last, leaving her visibly upset. To add insult to injury, we discovered a sneaky 15% gratuity fee that wasn't disclosed on the menu. This unprofessional practice left a sour taste, even though I voluntarily tipped an additional 7%.
Ultimately, our brunch at Sophusion was a disappointment. I'll stick to a local diner for a more reliable and transparent dining experience.

Attended a dinner to celebrate a marriage. Food was absolutely the best, serving staff efficient, professional, and pleasant. Each place setting was nicely appointed with all linen and name cards. Highly recommended!

Hidden gem! This place definitely has some of the best food I’ve ever tasted in Philly! We literally ordered food to go as well, because the food was so delicious. However, the service could’ve been better. We came probably a little over an hour behind they closed. It was on my birthday. They gave us champagne and that was the sweetest thing! However, we only saw our waitress when she took our order and then again when she dropped the bill off. She didn’t check to see if we needed anything, nor did she even ask if we enjoyed our food. There literally was only one other table there. We came in when a big party was leaving. If our waitress was slightly attentive to us, I’d definitely given this 5 ⭐️! .

One of the greatest dining experiences EVER, until the auto 20% tip hit! Now, the LOUD banging coming from the kitchen drowning out the smooth jazz annoyed me a bit BUT it only lasted through our apetizers and soup. LoL. Other than that, the ambiance is on TILT! Love the flowers, decor, and service. I forgot to ask the beautiful hostess her name. She was PHENOMENAL. Attentive but not overbearing. Informative but not pushy to sell certain items. We ordered lobster bisque - A+, lamb chops - A+, calamari - A+, seafood Alfredo - A+, lobster fried rice - A+, and delicious mocktails. The 20% auto tip is the ONLY reason it's 4 out of 5 stars. It was only my husband & I, in an empty dining room THE ENTIRE TIME! I get it for large groups, but for a party of 2. Not feeling it. For that, we'll most likely never return. We tipped over 20%, we always do.
Parking: Plenty available parking in the Lansdowne center across from the Lansdowne thearter.
Wheelchair accessibility: Location is street level with no stairs.

I will say that the food was tasty; however, this is far from fine dining. It took about a good 20 mins for someone to come over to acknowledge us. The food took another 40 mins and it was breakfast food. When it finally came it was staggered. Got my French toast first which I completed before my eggs and bacon came out. Couldn’t really understand the wait bc the place was not crowded at all. The place definitely needs some TLC when it comes to decor and atmosphere. Looked like an old house that was converted but left the “fine dining” details out. I felt it was fine dining prices but not fine dining quantity, atmosphere or service. It’s a one and done for me.
