Waited ten minutes to place an order as the employee had a lengthy conversation with a customer after she recieved her order. I understand that personal relationships are important in the food and beverage world, but you can take an order while continuing a conversation. It felt incredibly rude and this being my first time there, it's not a great impression. All I wanted to do was try the food and now I'm leaving to go somewhere else. There was an additional guest waiting behind me as well.

My mother & I visited the French Express for the first time & to say that it exceeded our expectations would be an understatement.
Chef Christophe is an artist without equal - there's no other way to describe him. The alchemy of his unparalleled skills, fresh ingredients, & attention to the smallest details adds up to an experience that outshines other all other eating establishments in the area.
His expertise in haute cuisine isn't just talk, it's an undeniable fact. His salmon crepes were the most delicious dish we've eaten in ages - light, savory, & incredibly tasty.
And if you are a fan of sweets, his selection of hand made pastries are beyond compare From the flavorful lemon and strawberry tarts, the velvety smooth vanilla custard of his cream puffs, the salty-sweet chocolate-caramel glazed eclairs, to the melt in your mouth macaroons that were lighter than air (we had no idea that this was how proper macaroons should taste - Chef Christophe has spoiled us forever).
On a more personal note, Mollie our server couldn't have been nicer & more generous to us at a time we needed it most. Unbeknownst to her, my father had passed away at the end of May & her kindness, welcoming nature, and infectious smile made our visit one we can't stop talking about. In a world were 'customer service' seems to be all but forgotten, Mollie set the high watermark when it comes to goodwill toward strangers.
It was an incredibly pleasant surprise to find an eatery like the French Express in the middle of a sport bar haven like Latrobe, Pennsylvania. I would I would encourage everyone both far and wide to prioritize a trip to the French Express as soon as you can. I promise, you'll become a regular upon your first visit.

Can’t believe I never heard of this little place . We had soup, quiche, crepes, salad. All awesome . Very inexpensive for the quality of food . It’s mainly a “to go” place but I think it would really excel as a cozy sit down restaurant.

I love going here! The food is always delicious, and there is always something new to try in the dessert section. The staff are amazing and so friendly. The quiches are my favorite, so light and fluffy. The sandwiches are also very good too. All in all, it is a wonderful place to go and eat!

I had a disappointing experience with the service at this establishment. As a black woman, I felt disrespected during my visit. My 13-year-old daughter was with me, and it was disheartening for her to witness this kind of treatment. When I asked a simple question about a sandwich wrap, the young girl at the counter consulted an elderly man who responded in a disrespectful manner. Despite this, I chose to leave the establishment, as I believe it's important to demonstrate resilience and rise above ignorance for the sake of myself and my daughter.
