4.5? No. Ya know when those places serve food that…. Sure it’s hot but it’s just not what you get for the price……and the place seems to be on a destination course for an episode of Bar rescue? That’s this place. This place had an Awsome thing going with Jaffreys but word had it the building owner ruined that. Guess we were expecting what Jaffreys had to offer from long ago.

I went with my friend to experience a nice lunch. The food is home made from the Chef Cornell Taubert. Debbie provided excellent service and the dining room is cozy and delightful. They offer a nice wine selection and a bar area that is inviting. The chef is also happy to prepare specialty German dishes if you call ahead of time. The history of the restaurant includes famous people dining there, such as Steve Carroll and Channing Tatum, and the resident ghost. The ghost adds to the mystery and charm of the surrounding area, specifically Derry that has sightings of Sasquatch . I recommend making this a place to use as a regular hang out spot when you romp around the area. I hope to meet the ghost and try more home made German food with friends and family.

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday because we were craving a burger and a beer, and Tin Lizzy did not disappoint! The service was excellent. Debbie was the only server, but she was accommodating and efficient. Nice atmosphere, great food, will be back.

Interesting old building, very good food and service too!
Gross doesn't even begin to describe it. But service was excellent.
My fiance and I went here for the first time tonight. I was so excited to try something new after looking at the menu online, which has way more on it than they actual offer dine in. I got the fish, he got the burger and an order of pretzles. Total came to almost 50 bucks. That's insane.
But besides that, the taste of the food. The pretzles were good. But I think they were frozen ones. The beer cheese tasted just like nacho cheese. The fish was God awful. It tasted like it was in a pancake batter and burnt to a crisp, and had a strong bad fish taste, not to mention the bread it was on. I took the bread and smacked it good against the plate a few times and it didnt even chip or bend the bread. The coleslaw. I have never in my life tasted something so fowl. I don't even have words to describe it. It almost tasted fermented and like someone juiced 30 lemons for that one bite. About 15 minutes after eating my meal, i physically got ill and had to take pepto bismul. His burger was super dry, lacked flavor. The bacon was very dark and burnt. The bread was just as hard as mine. The fish nor the burger were not even close to being worth $16 a peice.
The waitress was so nice and very good at her job. We just didn't have the heart to tell her how bad the food really was.
I had super high hopes for this place, but we will definitely never be back.

3 bars in one old historic building spread over 3 floors. Currently a new chef that has some great German dishes! Excellent place to relax, watch sports and chat with friendly people. Best bar in westmoreland county.
Read some old comments, maybe the place had changed. This is our first time here, and the food was excellent, service was great, and the atmosphere is awesome. Got the German platter, which is schnitzel, sausage, pork roast, mashed potatoes and green beans. Closest I've come to how Grandma used to make it. Definitely recommend!

June 2024. The brat was bland (did enjoy the warm german potato salad and kraut with caraway seeds), the tomato sauce on the chicken parm tasted like it was straight from the can and did not come with italian bread and butter, the menu did not state that it was served with linguini, nor did it say that the chicken marsala came with linguini, no beverage (wine, cocktail) menu, pricey for quality.. probably won't go back
