Cedar Grill is one of those small local diners that just gets it.
It’s a regular stop on my breakfast runs especially because my 88-year-old grandpa absolutely loves it, which honestly says everything you need to know. This place feels familiar, welcoming, and comforting in the best way.
My go-to orders are either the breakfast quesadilla (which is huge and packed with veggies) or the mushroom omelette, both consistently delicious and filling. The food is always good, always hot, and somehow comes out crazy fast usually within 10 minutes of ordering.
The service is what really sets this place apart. We always ask for Charla, and she is hands down the best. She remembers our order every time and often meets us at the table with coffee already poured. She knows her regulars, treats everyone like family, and makes every visit feel personal.
A quick honest note: right now, some of the booths and tables are a little run down, but they’re actively working on opening new housing right next door, so it’s clear they’re building toward something bigger and brighter. It’s absolutely not a deal breaker the heart of the place, the food, and the people are what matter, and those are solid.
Prices are affordable, portions are generous, and the vibe is classic hometown diner. If you want fast, reliable breakfast with genuine care behind it, Cedar Grill is it.

LOVE THIS PLACE! It is a bit old BUT they will be soon moving next door into the NEW CEDAR GRILL. CAN'T WAIT!
GREAT PRICES! And NEVER had a complaint about the food.
They are always very nice and they all work very hard. This is my go to!

My omelette was too dry, huge chunks of apples on top of the pancakes, no flavor on the hash browns and the toasts were almost burned.

Decided to stop for a quick dinner on our way back from Myerstown. I got the chicken Alfredo, which was absolutely terrible. It had no taste at all, and the chicken had a very weird and off-putting texture. The other person I was with had the roast beef sandwich, and his beef was very tough and stringy. I know they are in the process of building a new diner, but the one they are in now is very dirty and run-down. I will say the staff is very friendly and does a wonderful job. I don't think I will be returning.

Just went here with my friends before a conference nearby. All i need to say is the service and food was HORRENDOUS! First when we came in there was a moldy and it smelled like wet rags had been sitting around in a bucket somewhere. Once we were sat the waitress brought us our drinks then said a different server would be over to take our orders. As we waited we overheard a LOUD conversation between another customer and a server talking about how “nobody wants to work anymore” and she “can’t wait to not work” the next day. After that conversation she proceeded to go to the kitchen and yell “okay who’s turn is it?” In a very rude and condescending tone. Finally the same server who sat us came out and took our order after we considered leaving. I ordered the potato skin appetizer and was appalled by what i was served. The potatoes were hard, definitely overcooked, no potato left in the skin and absolutely smothered in a disgusting cheese sauce (probably about half to 3/4 of a can)
Overall this was the worst diner experience i have ever had and i do not recommend.

We retired for a long drive and the Holiday inn Express suggested we try cedar grill.
Comfort food at its best. We had the Monte Cristo and a patty melt. Both were perfectly cooked, the fries were delicious and we enjoyed the friendly employees and relaxed atmosphere

When I pulled into the parking lot and saw 2 cars at 500 pm I should’ve left I even said to myself this is not good. Well I was right the worst food I’ve had in a long time I couldn’t even finish it I was feeling sick. Homemade chicken croquettes with mashed potatoes looked good until I tried to cut one with a fork it was an absolute sponge no lie I couldn’t cut it! They were either very old or microwaved to death totally disgusting 🤮 the chicken rival soup was clear broth and no pasta all onions and no taste! Place needs closed down. If I wasn’t feeling sick I would have went back with the crap and demanded a refund!

Wow was the food bad. You’d think they would give some what quality food but it is very much so microwave meals. And the cakes in the show case loook a lot better than they are. Makes sense why it’s always years between visit.
