Absolutely love this place. The food is phenomenal. Just a little heads up it takes a little bit to get your food because each plate is made fresh. I personally don't mind waiting for good food.
Ate there for the first time last week and wanted to go back the very next week. Had the prime rib the first time. It was delicious. 2nd week had the Tavern burger. Had the 1/2 pound burger(I think their scale is broken because it was a lot bigger then 1/2 pound). It was perfect. Wait staff were very nice. Pace of meal was slowed a little bit but it's slow everywhere (complainers get used to this, this is the new normal, give service people a break, they work hard for you)....
Ok I got a chance to visit Franz tavern on south 5th Avenue and my wife and I were impressed ? we both had the Philly cheesesteak and shared an order of fries with ice tea let me tell ya mmmmm?delicious, im not a big fan with the cheese on the top BUT, this really worked because the bun was just right, and most important you have a cup of sauce to dip, now I'm a tough sob so I'm just being straight, you all wanted to know, to wrap it up the customer service from Shea...
