We pass by the Quentin Haus Restaurant many times during our travels and noticed that there are usually a decent amount of cars in the parking lot. That's usually a good sign so we planned on giving it a try for dinner on our next trip. The atmosphere is casual and comfy and the server was friendly and attentive. We both ordered the grilled chicken with rice meal. Unfortunately it was a bust. It looked good but when we cut through the chicken both meals revealed a pink, uncooked center. The server was very apologetic and took the meals back to complete the cooking process but it was curious that she indicated to us that she was upset with the kitchen as it wasn't the first time it happened. Hmm? It didn't take long for the meals to return which was awesome but while the chicken was now properly cooked and admirably juicy it along with the rice was flavorless as neither appeared to be seasoned....at all. The rice was also evidently cooked long ago and unfortunately end-of-the-day dry but with some help with butter provided with the dinner rolls along with salt, pepper and parmesan that was on the table we were able to get it edible. The next step was the chicken. A request for BBQ sauce gave it some flavor and we were able to get through the meal. We didn't complain as that's not our thing and left a 20% tip for the server as she did her job well. I wonder if we caught them on a bad day, just ordered a stinker on the menu or maybe their parking lot is used for ride sharing.? Who knows! We really wanted Quentin Haus to be a regular stop but as 1st impressions go, this was not a good one so that's not gonna happen.

My husband wanted to try something new. He ordered stuffed meatloaf, stewed tomatoes and cucumber & onion salad. Foods I would never make or eat. He loved everything about his meal. It's always a good experience every time we go.
