The Beacon is struggling to maintain adequate staffing but that has only impacted slightly the time from order to service. Our experience has always been excellent Diner selections with friendly, competent service. It is never microwaved frozen goods from US Foods or Sisco. Much of the menu is homemade comfort food like pork with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes/ gravy. All of the items are better than competitively priced. Be prepared to wait!!! Literally waited almost an hour for an egg sandwich. Waitress could not have cared less.
Great food at a fair price. If there is going to be a wait they tell you before seating you.
