I feel like this place might be great on the right date, but the staff seemed overwhelmed and there wasn't an empty table. We got to sit and i had to ask for water 3 times. The staff didnt seem thrilled to be there. (Neither was I. This was our second choice for breakfast) The food was decent. The place is super small. Id give it another try at a less busy time.

Love this place. They have great weekly specials for breakfast and lunch. Please they accept cash only but do have an ATM. Very clean establishment with simple good country cooking and very low prices. Linda is a wonderful server and we enjoy seeing her smiling face!

Stopped in today with my sons.. Always a great experience .. place was packed as usual because its the best breakfast and coffee spot. Prices are outstanding. Have patience when you get there .. you'll likely have to wait for a seat/table but that's a good thing.. it's worth the wait.

Truly one of the worst breakfast ever — the place was packed (a misty/drizzly summer sunday) — who knows why — maybe it’s a function of location/only show in town — eggs were cooked to death (two diners) — My ‘country mix’ with four eggs, sausage, onion, green peppers and potatoes was basically 90% potato on a plate. I left well over half of it in spite of my hunger. They also have a tiny sign on the door saying no credit cards — they don’t tell you until u go to pay — if you’re not a local, how would you know — but wait, there’s more they have a convenient ATM in the corner that they probably make a commission from or have some kind of an arrangement with.. so expect a $1.50 fee for that and whatever your bank charges you might incur.. we did manage to warn some people who were waiting outside, who hadn’t seen the sign and saved them the trouble..
Ultimately, I wish I’d been more patient and gone to Starbucks on the highway (was headed home on a long road trip) or something more dependable, but I wanted to try something local and interesting, but boy was that a mistake this go around..
How they are getting all these great reviews (assuming they are real or not friends/family) is beyond comprehension — I’m 62 and I’ve eaten in many countries/time zones — I wasn’t expecting something great but I was expecting something edible and properly cooked..
I/We say avoid..

Was traveling through this area on a road trip and was lunch time so we stopped. Nice personal diner with daily specials. Staff was friendly and seating area was clean. They serve breakfast and lunch and close at 2:00 pm. My wife ordered the corned beef hash and eggs and liked them. I had the hamburger steak with onions and gravy and mashed potatoes. Prefect for lunch and left full. Prices are very reasonable and one may say cheap compared to many other places we have ate. Would definitely eat there again if I was ever in that area. Skip the chain restaurants and get home cooking here. Thanks to the staff for a pleasant experience.

The food and service were awesome, and the prices are unheard of for 2025. I haven't seen prices in a restaurant like this for YEARS. Very accommodating to my daughter, brought her a cup of crayons right away. Cash only but ATM on site. Will definitely be back.
