On a visit to Lancaster, had occasion to visith the coffee shop. They were pouring Papua New Guinea. Wow! I bought a bag of beans to bring home to Texas, and have been ordering it ever since. Great coffee, with a bold, deep flavor.

My family was visiting PA and found Lonely Monks! We try to visit as many coffee shops and buy beans to bring back home with us on all our travels. We walked into this shop thinking it was a coffee shop but learned this is where they roast their beans. Not going to lie, I was bummed when I learned they didn’t brew any but what I got out of this visit was way better than any brewed coffee. They were so knowledgeable, helpful and so kind. They not only provided me with some beans to purchase and bring home but shared what coffee shops I could go to, to buy so more beans. I’m so excited to use their beans and make some delicious coffee!!!

Best coffee ever! I've tried almost all the blends and single origins to find my favorite and while I loved them all Nun's Habit is my personal favorite.
I love a good cup of coffee, and it's best when it's freshly ground. I was excited when Central PA finally got a coffee roaster! I enjoy the darker roasts and am working on finding a favorite, though with their blends it's hard to decide on one! This is now my daily morning coffee.

We recently purchased a grind and brew coffee maker with the intention to brew fresh ground coffee beans...the problem we ran in to was there wasn’t any good coffee roasters in the area. That is, until we heard about this place. We drink coffee every day and prefer a more bold and flavorful coffee and Lonely Monk was perfect and hit the spot. We’ve been ordering from them every week and trying a new flavor each time. They even delivered the coffee directly to the house! I have been drinking coffee for over 30 years and THIS is the best coffee I have ever had, certainly the best I've ever made myself. I've tried several of their blends and even some single origin and there's been nothing I wouldn't buy again. It makes it so hard to decide and want to hoard up but it's truly best to buy what I need for 2 weeks and then get more. Subscription is the way to go!! And if you get a chance to do a tasting with them you will learn more than you could imagine about the roasting process, the brewing process and even the origins.
