Walking in is an instant hit of atmosphere, where homemade Pennsylvania Dutch cooking is the "main thrust" of this quaint, but busy restaurant. The menu offers a lot of options, including the best scrapple ever with potato filling and shoofly pie as a take-home dessert.
Located a short distance from Interstate 78 in the quaint town of Lenhartsville, the restaurant is decorated with hex signs, and the atmosphere is great. The server was very nice and took the time to explain one of the decorations, but the restaurant was very busy. The gravy on the breaded veal cutlets was very tasty, and the fresh-cut fries were delicious.
