I have been wanting to try this place out since I have heard some great things about it. I was very glad that I made it there today. The food is amazing, the service was excellent, and an overall fantastic and welcoming atmosphere. I have been in the restaurant business myself for over 40 years, and I highly recommend paying this wonderful establishment a visit.

I went in for lunch and was delighted by the chicken soup and the salsa that came with the chips. Both were very tasty. The soup had sour cream and cheese that made it super creamy! Would definitely recommend stopping.

I moved from San Diego, California a few years ago, and I had pretty much written off any hope of finding those authentic Mexican flavors that I was raised on. And then, my wife and I found El Vaquero and all was right in the world! I've had numerous meals here and tonight was the pinnacle... absolute pinnacle of flavor! Visit Ligonier, eat at El Vaquero, order the Shrimp Poblano and take a trip to Baja! Job well done, Team.... I'll be back (a lot).

This place is a hidden gem in Ligonier, PA! It was recommended to us by some relatives who live in the area. El Vaquero is a real deal authentic Mexican restaurant! We loved the Chicken Tortilla Soup, it was absolutely delicious and was served in a generous portion. The chicken taquitos were awesome and so were the chimichangas. The restaurant is very clean and has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was wonderful!
