We tried to eat at two other places before stopping at the Road Toad on our way home. I am here to tell you that I am glad that the other places didn’t work out. We left one establishment where we were actively ignored by the staff to the Road Toad where we were welcomed with open arms and smiles. Our waitress was fantastic-happy and attentive. And the food was delicious (shout out to John S in the kitchen for making us a delicious dinner). The bruschetta chicken was very tasty, and they were accommodating to my gluten allergy. Everything we had was very fresh and tasty. We will be back with friends.

Very disappointed in our meals tonight. Husband ordered the 57.00 steak medium. It came out and looked barely cooked no char marks or seasoning. He sent it back and it looked like they put it in the microwave to get it hot. He didn't complain again we just won't be back. I had the shrimp special. The shrimp were ok. The slaw was bitter and the brussel sprouts had no seasoning at all. For 97.00 the food should have been much better and presented better.

This place is great! A good bit of restaurants are closed Monday in the Ligonier area, and I ended up here due to that fact. My grandmother and I don’t get much time together, and we like to sit and talk after we eat. We usually spend 2-3 hours just sitting and talking. When we finished our food and paid our bill, the staff took great care of us well after that. We ended up staying 3 hours and they kept our drinks filled and checked up on us the whole time. It made my time with her that much more special. I will be returning, and this will be a regular spot for the both of us now. To my waitress and the host thank you so much for your time and attention you were wonderful. To the owner you have a great staff, and they reflect on your leadership in a great way.

First time visit was a great experience! Charming setting along side the Lincoln Highway. Now the best part: The food. Excellent. We had the chicken parm and the blackened salmon. Perfect cook! Totally tender. Delicious. Tasty salad too! Cocktails and dessert top notch! Another nice feature is the 3 choice seating areas. Dining room with a bar. Window enclosed porch that overlooks the river. And, there is also outside seating on the deck. Great friendly service. Reservations suggested. You won't be disappointed!
