One of my wife and my favorite breakfast spots when we vacation in Lititz. The vibe is super cool and laid back, it’s really nice inside and the staff are always great here.
On our stay this last week I’ve had the pancakes which were great, the sausage egg wrap which was nice, and the classic breakfast which was great as well. The bacon is also done perfectly the two times I ordered it.
My wife generally gets the classic breakfast as well, and for the first time tried the squash side and absolutely loved it, it’s baked, then tossed on the griddle with a little bit of sugar. She also loves the tea here over anywhere else in town.
Great ambience, delicious food and wonderful service
Lovely old cafe. Have been visiting for some years now. The Tomato Pie is delicious and their coffee is so good!
Would the owners like to explain why the entire cafe was decked out in pride flags and pride decor on Saturday during the Pride Festival? I thought this was a Christian owned and run company. I'm extremely disheartened.
Favorite place in Lititz, breakfast and lunch are always great! Weekly customer. The staff is amazing and makes us feel at home every time. This place is a gem!
I've had the pleasure of eating at Tomato Pie Cafe multiple times and each time was fantastic. Both the signature tomato pie and their quiches are freshly baked and delicious. Plus, the chai tea latte is one of the best I've ever had. I love that they rotate in seasonal drinks and food, so I'm always excited to come back!
First, the tomato pie:
Light flaky crust holding in generous amounts of cheese on top of nicely seasoned diced tomatoes. Like the perfect quiche sitting on top of warm Bruschetta. I've really had nothing like it and was not what I expected even after reading all reviews. This is by no means anything resembling a pizza and noone should ever refer to any other pizza as a 'pie' ever again. I got the double and brought one home.
The carrot fries had sea salt and you are given a small amount of ranch with them. They were good on their own with sea salt, but to make them great, you needed the ranch.
The rest of the table got handhelds. They were slightly small for the price and came with chips or plain greens. They were ok, but nothing special. If we go back, we could get an entree or one of the specials. We were trying to stay on the cheaper side. Looking at other tables, they looked very good.
They had a nice selection of homemade deserts. We liked the s'mores cookie and the chocolate peanut butter pie.
Overall, we spent a little over $20 a person.
The atmosphere is cozy with a classic cafe feel. It had a wrap around porch with outdoor seating. If it's crowded, it will get loud since there is nothing to dampen the sound. It's surrounded by the classic main street USA like town of Lititz. There is a large park across the street that often hosts festivals in the warmer months.
We drove to Lititz to try the famous tomato pie! The cozy ambiance added to the experience. We tried their tomato pie meal with carrot fries and herbed scones along with mango smoothie. The food was delicious and had good portions with reasonable pricing, bonus it’s vegetarian-friendly too! A perfect spot to grab a satisfying meal in a warm and welcoming setting.
I’m obsessed with this place. We drive an hour and a half at least once a month to come here. The food is absolutely fantastic, the people are super nice, and the cafe drinks are like nothing I’ve ever had. This is a hidden little gem.
Always worth the trip and didn’t disappoint again today! Big menu selection and great service from everyone involved. See you next time!

Tomato Pie Café – A Charming and Delicious Experience Tomato Pie Café is a must-visit for anyone looking for a cozy atmosphere and incredible food. Their seasonal tomato pies are absolutely delicious—cheesy, flavorful, and filled with fresh ingredients that make each bite a delight. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, the snickerdoodle pancakes are a dream—soft, fluffy, and perfectly spiced with cinnamon and sugar. They also carry Olio oils, adding a gourmet touch to their selection. Plus, the servers are often dressed to theme, adding a fun and unique charm to the experience. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee, Tomato Pie Café never disappoints!
Great food and staff. Good location in downtown Litiz I'm a very picky eater and have yet to find anything on the menu I don't like. Their seasonal specials are always worth the wait.
Today was my first time at tomato pie and all I can say is wow! I was greeted by the sweetest Ukrainian boy at the door. It was quite empty and it seemed that everybody was eager to serve me. I was sat right away. My server came over with water (thank goodness because I was parched) and she told me about the quiche and where to locate a wonderful selection of beverages on the menu. She recommended the chai steamer so that’s what I got and it was delicious. I trusted her with my drink so I asked what should I get and because it’s my first time she recommended the tomato pie and a few other dishes. I started with the mini pie and got the quiche of the day that was “Greek”(spinach tomato feta).
It was the best quiche I have ever had in my life and the tomato pie is excellent! I have never had any thing quite like it.
The service was very friendly and fast and the server Jenna reminded me of a sweet witch with her large brimmed hat.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. Charmy small bathrooms but clean and stocked. It smelled of fresh laundry.
I’m happy I tried something new today and I will definitely be back when I’m in the lititz area!

The tomato pies are fabulous.
The coffee is horrible! Ordered a latte and it tasted heavily like chicory. I did hear that they use Passenger Coffee from downtown Lancaster, and that is unfortunately one of the worst coffees in the City. No wonder I didn't like it.
The bathrooms are also deplorable. So tiny you can hardly turn around.
The staff were rude and inattentive. Food was just ok. It’s a “pass” for us. New Holland Coffee right around the corner is definitely a better choice.
