Lovely setting in a gorgeous villa. We sat outside in the garden with our dogs in the sunshine. Lots of good choices and all the food was delicious. We enjoyed the peaceful vibe and the birdsong from the blossom trees. Service was friendly and helpful.

We had an extremely well priced, delicious lunch. I'd thoroughly recommend the BBQ pork croissants. Melt in your mouth! Good service as well.

I was really disappointed today! I was here couple times before and suggested to my friends to me me at the yellow house for brunch. My food was cold and totally not good to eat. I ordered the Avon and halumi cheese dish. Everything on that plate was cold! Even the egg on top of the dish.... I asked for extra bacon and that was good though. I'm glad I did that otherwise I wouldn't have anything to eat. I don't know what went wrong but I was disappointed

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Whanganui with ample parking. The Yellow house is a converted old house with eating areas hidden in each room. Staff were friendly and didn't mind me snapping away. Felt like we were sitting on a friends porch while enjoying the "Yellow House Muesli" and "Eggs Benedict with Hashbrowns" of which were presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Great find

Eggs Benny was absolutely perfect and the coffee was awesome . I totally recommend this place if your from or staying in Whanganui

Hmmm not impressed but it's ok. Waiter almost threw our food onto table. Expensive given the content of meals. I got the burger which was delicious, fries that came with it weren't particularly generous or hot, suspect they cook a whole lot and serve freshly cooked with other fries that have been sitting for some time. Took an age to get food and wasn't particularly busy either.

Not to be negative as the coffee and food where excellent, it’s most unfortunate that the staff are pretty miserable and clearly do not like working with the public. As a customer and being on the other side as I am in retail, a friendly smile and good service goes a long way. Maybe some training would be the answer ?

I read the reviews on TripAdvisor and was impressed, so we had brunch there last Friday morning (Dec. 2nd). It was so good that when we came back through Whanganui on Monday (Dec. 5th) we went back for lunch. I'm not surprised it was Tripadvisor's People's Choice for 2022.
Yellow House is just that, a yellow house that creates great food from scratch. From the bread and baking to the sauces, all is prepared in their own kitchen. Good food, great coffee, friendly staff, and local art on the walls. It’s well worth a visit.

It came highly recommended and didnt disappoint, the service and food were first class. Very clean with plenty of seating.

My husband and I have a brunch date every Sunday and are newcomers from Taupo, a town with so much competition vying for the customers..Yellow Cafe was tops and we have experienced many in our 6 months here... Our favourite thus far ????.
