While traveling in Lancaster County for the weekend, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant (a really great restaurant at that) available on OpenTable for reservations. McCleary's was just down the road from our B&B and was a great experience. They're an authentic Pub, with Pub style fair you would expect in any major city. My Guinness pour was perfect.

First time here and it’s great atmosphere. And they know a lot of great mix drinks and a master in mixology. Jorden was an excellent bartender. I don’t need to go far for a great experience right at home. Marietta is amazing

Ordered the veggie and rice for 17. Less than a half a cup of rice and tiny portions of veggies. Very disappointed. Will not order again

Excellent food with many choices. Service was very good--efficient without being intrusive. Atmosphere was pleasant, but the noise level from the speaker was very distracting. Dinner music should be in the background and not so loud as to be difficult to carry on a conversation.
You feel you’ve truly entered an Irish Pub. Makayla was an excellent server. It was our first time here and celebrating both Birthday and Anniversary and we were placed in a both where we could view the stage, and enjoy the music. We started with a Crabby Pretzel . Generous amount of Crab Meat on a freshly baked pretzel. The Brisket Mac and Cheese was prepared perfectly. Very full of flavor. Fish and Chips were crispy and done in a Beer batter. Cigar City Maduro Ale. Brown Ale with a roasted Chocolate finish. This is a great place and we will return. Oh and the Chocolate/ Peanut Butter Pie… Delicious!

Great place to eat. The atmosphere is really nice. Beautiful place and great setting. Alot more spacious than you would expect. The server (Makayla) was not good. The only reason we know her name is because it was on the receipt, she certainly wasn't offering it up. She never smiled once, at anyone, not just our party. They have a kids menu but severed our 3 and 5 year old waters in a pint glass. She reached over us. Never once asked how things were. It was not overly busy, but maybe they were understaffed? I will say, she got our order right and did refresh my husband's drink. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was so off putting that we would not want to come back. Maybe she was having a bad day? I am all about giving grace and don't expect over the top service, but a smile would have been nice.
