Novel Breads is a small bakery that sells sourdough breads in flavors that I cannot find elsewhere. It also sells some gourmet foods from other businesses, some books, and some home decor.The baker-owner draws inspiration for her breads from books that she reads. The breads are available in several flavors and can be specially ordered. Each loaf of bread costs about several dollars.I purchased the following six breads: Milk Buds, Gentleman’s Black Bread, Roasted Garlic Bread, Chocolate Babka, Roasted Orange Martini Bread, and Pesto Italiano. These loaves were a good size, were freshly baked, and tasted very good.Please note that this bakery has limited hours, and it is located on the side of the professional building.

Everything is sourdough based, even the banana bread, which results in a complex and nuanced flavor, quite unique and very delicious. Heather has sourced her other products well- the maple cocoa mix is fantastic and very unusual. Have never seen this product before and will be getting it again! Good place to buy food gifts too.Gorgeous little artisan bakery in Mars, fun literary theme, very personable baker-entrepreneur too. Stop in or order via the facebook page. As a fellow baker, I am impressed by Heather's baking creativity.

The sweetest bread and book shop! The owner was so nice and the bread was fantastic! The Vanilla White Chocolate Babka made amazing French toast and the pizza dough was great as well. She posts her offerings on FB the day before as well. Very cute spot, will be back!
