Hello,
Our son had surgery at Passavant and we’ve had some long days. We’re from Latrobe and have been staying at a hotel close by the hospital. We predominately seek out local independent restaurants because we ourselves own our own restaurant. The other night we ordered a pizza and it was fantastic! Tonight we decided to have a nice sit down meal and we went back. I can’t begin to tell you how delicious everything was. Like OLD SCHOOL Italian cooking, wonderful service and we splurged and grabbed desert and it did not disappoint! Thanks you all for a wonderful evening. Hope to see you soon!

On a positive note, we felt the restaurant was clean and inviting (not sure about the kitchen though), and everyone was pleasant and accommodating. The menu was extensive and typical Italian restaurant choices which is what we were looking for. But honestly, the items we selected for dinner were unappealing and bland. The Italian wedding soup was ok, but lacked flavor and seemed a bit watery. The pizza slices were tasteless and the crust resembled a poor grocery store version you might find on clearance. And the Turkey Devonshire was, well... one of the worst dishes I've had anywhere. The cheese sauce tasted odd and was like watered-down Cheeze Whiz. But the turkey portion was generous as was the bacon. Maybe it was just an off night in the kitchen, but it is highly unlikely we will return. I think our waitress suspected we were not very pleased with our meal, but the restaurant was filling up and we didn't want to say anything. But they also need to know the three dishes we ordered were just not very good. Sorry for the bad review, but this is just an honest opinion.

Good service, friendly neighborhood staff and tasty food. Look forward to my next visit. Gets noisy at time when crowded.

Loved, loved, loved Bellisario's Restaurant 😋🍝. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and anticipated anything that we might need. She offered a bread basket while we waited for our order ....WOW! DOES BELLISARIO'S BAKE THEIR OWN BREAD!!!??!! SO SOFT AND FRESH!!😋. My friend really enjoyed the baked ziti. The Fettuccini Carbarna that I ordered was creamy and delicious 😋🤤😋. We took dessert home and they didn't disappoint either. They were very generous with the strawberries on the cheesecake and the homemade pumpkin roll melted in my mouth. The only problem with the desserts are that they were gone too soon.😜.
Btw, our house salads were anything but wilty, they were tasty and just enough to start with while we waited for our entrees.
WELL DONE BELLISARIO'S😋😋😋😋😋.

Food is mostly okay. Something’s are definitely made better than others and have amazing flavor/authenticity. The menu online with the prices is outdated. They charge much more than what is listed so always expect it to be a good bit more than what you think. The owner is VERY rude. We have dealt with him several times and initially thought he was just short and not a talker. But it’s more than that. He has an attitude with everything. We had an issue with our food a couple times. The first issue we had was finding non food items in our food. This was met with an attitude. When asked for refund was told no. You can get a new one. Declined….it was after 9pm. I had worked a 16 hour shift and was due back in the morning. Explained this, he asked what are you going to do with the dinner. I said Throw it out… would you eat it? Was told no and hung up on me. So no refund or credit. Just basically it is what it is. Steak salad we got had the butt of the ice berg lettuce and was dirty. Told him about it was met with massive attitude and said so… take it out and the lettuce around it. They have forgotten things and when called I told them what was forgotten and asked to be refunded. Was told no. We were offered to come back and get it but again it was late and we aren’t very close to the place. When declined he said oh well maybe next time and hung up. There have been several other interactions like this. I will say maybe if you dine in things are better. Our experiences have all been with take away. Also like I said some food is really amazing and you can’t get the same flavors from anywhere near else around us!
